I appreciate the effort and Clarksville certainly could use a low key place to grab snacks and some cocktails, but it's not quite there yet. Â The menu has a varied selection of cocktails, but all the ones that I've tried were either off in their alcohol to mixer ratio or just too darn sweet. Â The appetizers were good, but nothing outstanding.
The good parts: Â the decor is adorable, especially the Clarksville locations sign (I want one!) and the staff is always friendly and as sweet as the drinks. Â I'll keep coming here because I need to support the non-chain restaurants and hopefully find a drink I like!
Overpriced drinks that the bartender couldn't even make. He said he didn't know the recipe and asked me to try a different martini. They used to have a great day bartender, but now the entire staff is new and rude. Chicken blossoms were still frozen in the middle and not even taken off the bill when they were sent back, not replaced or eaten.
Review Source:The best food downtown hands down. I love the fried ravioli and stuffed pepadews. I love to come here for a girls night and drinks with the hubby. Was glad to see they can fit large parties now with the larger booths. Seating is a bit cramped but it is more of a location problem.
I love the martinis. And I don't usually order martinis when I go out. The portions of food are smaller but it is more upscale food. But is sooo delicious.
Definitely follow them on Facebook to see the daily specials.
My company of weary travelers and I stopped in here for some spirits after a long night of riding our iron steeds. I'll admit, my requirements to continue my journey through the night were not high, so I ordered 3 fingers of scotch.
They were able to meet my requirements with Glenlivits 12 year aged scotch. I was highly satisfied with the generous 3 finger pour for a mere 7 dollars. I visually observed several appetizers and specialty drinks that looked pretty good.
The service for our party was solid. My good feelings for this place was confirmed later in the night while at Kelly's pub down the street. I payed 8 dollars for a weak pour of Jameson. If you enjoy the whiskey or scotch.. it is worth the walk to the corner to buy your drinks at cloud 9 over Kelley's.
I'm actually sitting at one of the tall tables now, writing this review. Â It has been 45 minutes since I placed my order, which I am still waiting on. Â I just canceled my appetizer because it too never arrived and we were just told our entrees (salads) would be out momentarily. Â Want a Lemon with your water? Â Forget it. Still waiting on that too.
I came here the second week after opening and encountered many of the same problems but chalked it up to grand opening and would give them time to work out the bugs. Nope. Â Short handed on staff, long wait times on food, mediocre food, and an incredibly loud atmosphere. And as a special treat, I just opened my silverware and found it dirty. I'll take my money and apparently high expectations to Nashville next time. Â I hope this place finds its identity soon( restaurant vs martini bar vs dance club) because Clarksville needs more independent restaurants.
I'm glad to see that downtown C'ville is getting a new place to add to its small list of places. However, it is definitely geared more towards females, from the list of fruity martinis, the foo-foo drinks and the posters saying to drink champagne. So, it was a little weird for me and my friend when we walked in to eat. The crowd was definitely either couples on date night or women on 'girl's night.'
The martinis were all definitely geared towards women with names like Cougar Kool-Aid and Wedding Cake and a locked chest with bachelorette sashes and crowns. There weren't too many drinks for guys, so, we both got the Bohemian which I thought would kind of be like a Manhattan but sweeter, because of all the juice put in it. The hummus was good, with thick pita chips but the amount of hummus was pretty small.
I got the sliders with the bacon for an extra buck and while good were definitely on the small side-it definitely seems like it could have been an appetizer if you took out the fries. A good spot for date night or if you're looking for a girls' night out but as a straight male it's kind of difficult to rate this place too highly as a go-to place.
We loved Cloud 9! Â The wine list is good and if you try the Asiago Chicken blossoms! They are amazing!! Â The food menu is kind of varied and I wish that is was more uniform with the atmosphere, but the wraps and certain sandwiches do seem kind of lunch-like and not like a tapas/wine bar which is what the atmosphere screams! Â We will continue to go back though because we were pleased with the service and the food/drinks we ordered.
