There really is no reason to write a review of this place other than I am a fan of the 1989 action film Roadhouse, staring Patrick Swayze. This bar tries its best to be the Double Duece.
When I first entered the Double Duece (Club 301) I was immediately impressed with the illogical thinking behind the policy of using a debit or credit card.  "We ask that you must have a minimum of $10 in purchases to use your bank card."  Considering the average price of a  drink in the Double Duece (Club 301) is $1.00, I had a long night and a DUI waiting for me.  Well, on to the review:
Love, treachery, and broken furniture are the hallmarks of this rollicking action bar. Or so the workers think. Â My favorite moment was watching a group of patrons being asked to give up their stools because the bar could potentially be too busy--I love the optimism at the expense of customer service. Â
The manager is a tool, the waitstaff is crazy, and the security is  susceptible to roid rages.
The highlight of coming to this establishment was watching peoples' reaction when they were told they couldn't close out their accounts because they didn't spend the minimum of $10.00. Â I don't even know how this is legal, especially in a bar, but I loved watching all the bartenders remind people that they couldn't have their debit or credit cards back until they were wasted.
If you are looking for a rough-and-tumble honky tonk in Ellensburg, Washington, where beer-soaked free-for-alls are a nightly event, this is a place to visit. Otherwise, I don't know why anyone would visit this bar.
This bar on the weekends is probably the funnest bar in ellensburg. I gave it a 3 because the bartender/owner Jared is a pompus jerk and takes his job to seriously. I literally stopped goin for 2 months because of him. He takes his job too serious and doesnt know how to run a bar let alone handle people under the influence. And also I think they should make Friday nights DJ the DJ all weekend. The guy on Saturday sucks.
