[2 star Service (being generous) and 4 star Dive]
In town for business, as soon as we arrived I knew I needed to find a chill spot to belly up to the bar and have drink.  Moab, being a tourist destination, I knew I wanted to seek out a place off the beaten path, a location where the locals go to escape the tourists.  This was one of those places. A genuine dive/sports bar/karaoke bar.

Walking in, greeting the bouncer at the door, I quickly assessed the surroundings and eyed a stool at the bar.  There were only about 12 or so people there mostly stilling directly at the bar or playing pool.  There was one bar tender on duty.  I sat and waited.  When he turned my direction, I slightly gestured with my hand to get an acknowledgement from him that he knew I was there, nothing.  While I was not in a hurry the time, the time spent waiting was enough to make me want to walk out without a drink.  He was serving up the locals and shooting the breeze with them, while I continued to wait. [Had I had someplace to be I would have left by now.]

We he did finally stop to take my order, he served it up quickly and I chose to pay cash for my drink.  I lingered and sipped on my drink for a bit while watching a few sporting events on TV.  He never came back to see if I wanted anything else.  As soon as my drink was done, I left.

Fuck this place. Worst staff, ambience, food, and especially Al Fogg the owner is the biggest douche bag we have ever come across. DICK DICK DICK DICK! What a fuckwad.

Do yourself a favor and take in the local color!  Thursday night is Scaryoke and $2 Margs.  People kept bringing me drinks and I had so much more to drink than usual.  Que my inner comedian coming out.  Lucky for me, it was well received and I made some new friends. Fun place!

UTAH does not make you pay a cover charge to "join" a "private drinking club". I hear they do have similar "laws" in SLC though.

They do only sell booze until 1am vs the standard 2am.

They also use measuring devices so any mixed drink has exactly one shot and only one shot. no free hand, no 1, 2 count, no doubles no nada.

They have all sorts of beers I just don;t drink beer but that'd  be the way to go here in Utah.

This place had some HORRIBLE ass Karaoke going on. between that and the lack of alcohol in my system I wanted to kill myself...

Great place for local's and tourists to just hang out and have cocktails.  Danny was great!!  If you're ready to unwind and kick back some fun, this is the place to be.  We'll be back for sure!

I liked this place. It was the last stop on our walk from town to our condo, so conveniently located for a nightcap.

I wouldn't categorize this so much as a nightclub than a sportsbar (which severely lacks more TV's, should a sports event actually be watched in here). I was confused by the cover, since nobody was in here the night we stepped in, but the previous review (liquor law comment) now helps me understand. Friendly people - almost all locals from the vibe. Hard rock on the jukebox, ice cold beer selection on tap.

    I'd definitely go back.

Due to Utah's strange liquor laws, there really aren't bars in Utah but private clubs where only members can go to drink.  You can buy a membership for $4 which includes the cover.  Cover on a Friday night is $3.  Club Rio seemed to be the most happening place in town but that's not saying much because it was still pretty dead.  Maybe because it snowed earlier in the day.

At least they have darts, a foosball table, and pool tables to entertain you as well.  There's also a jukebox machine.  Not to mention the pole on the stage and a large dancefloor.  The DJ had a good selection of songs but could NOT mix at all.

Drinks are pretty cheap but they actually measure out the shots carefully so drinks aren't too strong.  Too bad because I really needed beer goggles to make the crowd more attractive.  Oh well at least I had the pole as my dancing partner.
