I suspect one of the other reviewers works at a competitor, where food is around $12-20 per person. Actually, there's not a meal here over $10, unless you can perhaps eat twenty wings by yourself (in which case, go on Tuesday, they're half price) and it WILL fill you up.
I always find bar drink prices a bit outrageous, but for the area, it's cheap at $5 for pretty much any mixed drink and beer around $1.50-3 or $8 for a pitcher (about six glasses). Go to any other bar in town and you'll be lucky to pay $8 for a small drink with cheap alcohol. It's not the best bar I've ever been to in my life, but it is CERTAINLY the best bar in Murphy and in my opinion, the best bar in driving distance.
They have specials pretty much every day so I suggest checking them out. Â It can get a little slow for food late at night, especially on game nights; I suspect this is because they only have one cook back there after a certain time in the evening. I've never had to wait longer than a minute or two for a drink, however. The ambiance is great and if you ever get sick of whatever kind of music is playing, they have an electric jukebox that allows you to select what's playing over the restaurant. There's also some games, electronic poker, and darts, if that's your thing. Apparently some people go to a sports bar to watch SPORTS, and to that degree I should also mention they have gorgeous huge flat screen TVs everywhere. I'm just not much of a sports buff, so I don't pay much mind.
I would say that if you live in the area, it's an absolute must, and if you're visiting, it's a fun way to spend an evening. If you want to drink, save yourself the grief of an empty wallet by coming here.
