Stopped here thanks to Yelp recommendation. Â From the outside, this place doesn't look like much. Â You come in, and find in fact a very homey place; photos of the proprietor's grandchildren by the cash register. Â Dining room decor is nothing special, but very clean and practical. Â Standard roadside stop menu, but the service was charming and friendly. Â Dad ordered the small prime rib cut, and got half a cow, perfectly cooked (he's a bit odd, so he ordered the end cut, medium-rare. Â Chef came out after we got the meat to confirm that it was right, cos he'd never heard of someone wanting an end cut, medium rare).
My mom and I both ordered the super burger (which I think means "with lettuce and tomato on it). Â The burgers were DELICIOUS. Â Excellent meat, patties hand-made and just right thickness and girth. Â Buns were good, with nice tasty tomato slices and pickles. Â Simple, but fantastic.
If you're looking for a place to grab lunch while passing through this area, go for Cody's. Â Well worth the stop.
