In such a small town, The Coffee Shop is open early on the weekends and seems to be popular with the locals to the point that the wait staff knows everyone by name. After waking up to rain in our tents we were happy to sit down and grab some breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were basic and a touch over priced but satisfying. There is the option for different breads or a hard roll all of which were toasted properly. The hash browns we had were cooked well and were solidly average. The drinks were pretty bad but I wasn't expecting much there. The wait staff was very pleasant and remembered us the next day when we came back for another round.
If you're in town you don't really have another choice for breakfast so I would stop in again under those circumstances.
My family would come here for breakfast occasionally since it was about 5 minutes from the lake. Generally, the food was ok but the quality seemed to be going downhill during the last few visits (2010). I was once served a rancid bottle of non-fat milk that had been expired for quite some time...
Review Source:Probably the best place for breakfast around here. As with most other places, the prices seem a bit high, and the cooking seems medicore. But, they do really good blueberry pancakes and they have decent seating area out the back.
I'd give it 4 stars if the prices were a bit lower or the portions a bit bigger.
