Copeland's Cafe

This truly is the heart of America.  It's a small shack off the road that serves hamburgers and sandwiches and stuff.  It's family owned and operated and probably get 10 customers on a good day.  

The burger and fries were good, and cheap (5.50 for a cheeseburger, fries and a drink) but nothing special.  If I were driving through again, I'd probably stop somewhere else just to try something new.

The lady who worked there (and who was probably the owner) was really nice and the service was great.  What I especially liked was that when she saw a broken and trampled miniature flag on the ground, she asked us to pick it up because she felt bad about having an American flag in such bad shape.  Wow,  not something you'd see someone do in LA, but I thought it was very cool.
