We've been eating here since moving to coquille 9 years ago, at which time this was THE place to go. Over the years the choices, service and quality has declined, so we don't go as much. Â Tonight we went again, and oh my goodness, the food was horrible. When they brought out the honey/bourbon chicken, the rancid smell was overwhelming. One bite confirmed that the taste was as bad as the sauce smelled (fermented perhaps?) - like pine sol and citrus. Â A decent waitress might have specifically asked as she took away a plate full of chicken, but no. Husband and son said their dishes weren't good either.
We won't be back.
(If people want good burgers, figaro's across the parking lot offers bigger and better burgers for the same price).
"The Jam Doctors" as several patrons recently described Brian Bryan and myself, had an excellent time putting together the very FIRST of many monthly Sunday Night Jam Sessions. The whole band was well taken care of by staff, the jammers were many and the people were cheering their heads off!! Thanks Brian to (the owner) and everyone present for their dedication and support with these jam sessions.
We may be the "Jam Doctors" but, it takes the LOVE of music on the stage AND the dance floor/audience to make the successful jams we're known for. We're only as good as our fans and patrons :) And can't wait to be to be back.
IF just one Sunday a month isn't quite enough for y'all, get ahold of myself, Brian Bryan or management. We are more than willing to jam for the people of Coquille but, the people have to be there. Can't jam in an empty bar on a Sunday night. So whether you play music or just have a passion for listening, mark the first Sunday of every month as "jam central" and come enjoy the great food and music of The Coquille Broiler.
I went here last week because I was craving a really good burger and since recently moved to the area I want to find done good places to eat. Well I looked at the reviews and decided to try out out. Â Bad decision. Â The ordered a Stuffed Blue Cheese Burger .. It was way too salty and the fries were soggy, like they sat for a while. Â The vegies weren't the freshest in my opinion. And the Cherry Coke was watered down. So I was definatly disappointed. Â On the positive note the server was nice.
Review Source:This was our lunch stop on the way to the coast from Roseburg.
Service was friendly and fast. The chili burger was delicious and the serving size generous enough to feed a lumberjack. Â The veggie burger was just OK, but the accompanying shake was spectacular, made with real ice cream, big enough to serve as the meal's beverage and desert too.
Bill was $25, including tip.
We have eaten at the Broiler off and on since it opened. It's mediocre. The one thing I can say is that it's not consistent. I've had great service and horrible service. Painfully slow service and super quick, excellent service.
But in a small town, where options are limited, I do have to say it's probably your best bet in Coquille. Their milkshakes are a favorite..they are good and you get a lot.
Food..again, some hits and some misses. We continue to go back, so it's not that bad..you just kinda never know what you will get in terms of service and food quality.
The broiler is one of our favorite restaurants, and we eat there several times a month. Â We have never eaten anything there that we didn't enjoy. Often, at the request of family members, we will pick up food for them when in route to their house. Â That Bereuter is a great place with great people and good prices, you can't go wrong.
Review Source:Wow! I've heard about the Coquille Broiler for years, and never paid much attention. It really wasn't on the way to anywhere and now it's become a destination! Folks say Coquille has the best places to eat, and now we "get" it. It's true! The Broiler served it up nicely and topped the order with an old fashioned Cherry Coke! Oh my...
From steak to seafood, back to a yummy burger - this place is awesome. Now I understand why so many make the short drive to Coquille, or make certain they haven't eaten when traveling to and from the Coast. Coquille Broiler is an excellent choice to get what you want, how you want it!
We'll be back. We'll absolutely be back... again and again!
Luv this place! I recommend the grinder sub, hot, dry, no onion or Swiss, with tots. Excellent! It comes hot or cold, prime rib, turkey, ham, lettuce, toms, onion, American and Swiss cheese. Husby likes bonzai burger. chicken Caesar salad is nummy as well. Fish tacos are good too.
they have daily specials for $5 too!
Bert and Lisa are the best servers too ;)
Was randomly in tiny Coquille, Oregon, and needed some lunch. Â Well, as it happened, this place presented itself and in we went. Â We were not disappointed. Â The Bleu Burger was absolutely bursting with flavor. Â I mean really, it was fantastic. Â If you are ever in Coquille (an unlikely event, to be sure), do stop here if you need a meal. Â There aren't a whole lot of other options anyways (not a single nationwide fast-food chain, I don't think), so just don't argue and everyone will be happy!
Review Source:This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Coquille. I don't have one thing I would change. The service is always amazing, fast and friendly. The menu has salad, nacho's, burgers, and steak. I have never left there without being stuffed. The price is fair for the quality, and as an average I end up paying about $10 for my lunch. But in Coquille there is not a lot of quality restaurants, and you will spend about that much at an inferior place as well. With all that said, I feel the need to go eat one of their steak sandwiches. ps, Bert rocks.
Review Source:So I'm on a roadtrip up the Pacific Coast, cruisin' the 101. I realize I want to go to Portland, so I take a windy road through Coquille right around dinner time. I decided to try the Broiler.
The staff was super nice. I'm "not from around here" and was hoping my google maps acumen was taking me the right way. The gals at the Broiler were super helpful in getting me safely to the 5. So thanks Misty and Bert! :)
The food was great! I had a delicious new york steak, with great mashed potatoes and garlic bread. No sauces needed for my steak, it was perfect. The prices were really great too. They had a variety of things to try, so if you aren't a steak person, do not worry.
If you are an Oregonian or just passing through, get yourself lost in Coquille and grab a steak!
Coquille doesnt have much to choose from, i know...i grew up there. Â And over the years, options have gotten even smaller. Â The Broiler has the best burgers and milk shakes around. Â Burgers are large and topped with fresh condiments. Â It is a lil spendy, but really, in coquille...thats what you get. Â If im going through Coquille and I want to stop and eat, it will for sure be the broiler.
