The Corner Bar

This is not a bad place, but it's not as good as it could be either.

We must not have let them know that we were coming, as our group gathered outside around three or four tables on a wonderful Spring day about a week ago. Our group was about ten people, and we had to go inside to buy our beverages.  The bartender seemed to be working alone, and for a Friday afternoon you'd think that they'd have more help, as she had a tough time keeping up with the demand.

We weren't the only people there, as there were about five people sitting inside at the bar.

But, I'll be back.  It's still a new place, and they deserve the chance to improve.  The beer was cold, they had a variety, and they also had a happy hour, although I'm not sure what the 'deal' was when we were there.  Beyond that, they also had a few food items.  Nobody in our group tried those, and so there is no way to have an opinion.

Downtown Minden is a special place, as it always reminds me of the small town that Minden was back a few decades.  Be sure to go and check it out, I'm going back, and I'm optimistic about improvement.  While your there, be sure to check out the art gallery next door and the antique store that's there as well.
