We stopped  here on our way from Spokane to the Over the Dam half marathon in Grand Coulee, and then again on the way back. I highly recommend it. Homemade pies, homemade hash browns, and very reasonable prices. The regulars were very friendly, chatting us up about local races. Eating here really was a highlight of the trip. By the way, they open up at 4:30 a.m.
Review Source:Why are there no reviews for this fabulous slice of real Americana.
There are many reasons to travel across Washington State on US 2 instead of I-90, but the Country Cafe is one of the main ones. This is a real mom and pop cafe that serves great food made right on the premises.
REAL hashbrowns, just like we make them at home when we spend the time to do it.
Try the marinated chicken in any of several ways at lunch.
