  TCP is one of my family's favorite "HANG OUT's"  My wife and I started going there over 3 years ago and we have been going there ever since.  I am a military veteran and I have been in pool halls since the 80's and The Corner Pocket is my favorite.  Here is my list for a great pool hall...
  
  1.  Well maintained pool tables and pool cue's
  2.  Great food and drinks available
  3.  Good juke box and sound system
  4.  EASY to get to location
  5.  Proper air conditioning and ventilation so cigarette smoke is filtered out
  6.  Friendly staff
  7.  League play
  
  The Corner Pocket has it all.  Lisa and Mike (owners) are friendly and accommodating.  When our kids visit you can be sure that we will go there for a family night.  My wife and I went this last Saturday (5 OCT) and had a great time.

  I was introduced to the Corner Pocket when I first started dating my husband.  When he said he played in a pool league, I was hesitant at first, because in my head, I saw a dingy, dark, smoky bar with pool tables.  This place is nothing like that...
  
  It's very large and open with smoke fans to inhale the smoke before you do...very bright with many, many lights, a jukebox that's pretty much always blaring country music, and a pretty good selection of fresh-cooked food (no microwave meals) on the menu.  They have soft drinks, beer, and wine, but no liquor, which I consider a good thing.  The majority of people here are family people (but no kids) who are just there to have a good time.
  
  The owners, Homer and Barbara, are friendly and accomodating...although Homer tries to give people a hard time on occasion, it's all in a good way.  
  
  To sum up, I went from dreading this place to being there two nights a week, every week playing in a league, and still going up there some nights I don't have to....this is a great place to go and hang out!
