Cottage House Restaurant

The Cottage House has apparently changed hands, at least once.  No buffet, and the food was mediocre.  We had the pot roast, which was good.  The salad bar was minimal.  The corn bread dry and the vegetables so-so.  Service was good and the price was low - $7.99 for the meal and ice tea.  We would not go back.

Without a doubt, Cottage House is the best buffet in Wilkes County, and one of the best places to eat on the North Wilkesboro side.

Each day of the week, their lunch buffet changes, whether it's bbq, chicken tenders, fish, etc.  Their potato salad is THE BEST!  And you can't beat the price for the quality of the food and the service.

Downside--this place is always packed during lunch hours.  If you don't show up super early, you'll definitely be waiting for a table or booth.
