Cougar Den Restaurant

When you come here, you're straight up on da rez---the Yakama Nation, that is.  White Swan is a small town, and there are limited places for provisions.  I was here to help give a presentation/talk at a Summer Math Camp.  I wanted to pick up a pack of gum and walked across the street to the Courgar Den.  

Here you can get gas, pick up some prepared food, and shop around their convenience store.  

For what it is, it gets the job done (and it does so with Mt. Adams looking down on over you).

This is an all-in-one place - it's a gas station, convenience store, restaurant.

Pretty good fried food fare though a little on the expensive side for what you get. The Cougar burger is my favorite so far. You won't really go wrong eating here but it's not the kind of place you go out of your way to get to.

They always have some interesting Native American jewelry for sale - really nice bead work. Be sure to check that out as well.
