There is nothing like country cookin' when it is done well. Â Country Cuisine is a cafeteria style soul food restaurant. Â On the day we went, Charles was serving BBQ, chicken and dressing, mac n cheese, green beans, yams, lima beans, black eyed peas, and turnip greens. Â You get a choice of breads, but the fried corn bread is the 'must have' when you go. Â They also throw in dessert...yellow cake with chocolate frosting the day we were there. Â
The fried chicken is also really good according to my mom. Â It is not on the line, but you can request it and they'll fry it up fresh for you. Â
This is not a fancy place, but the food is home grown goodness on a plate. Â The service could not be more filled with Southern kindness. Â A great place to sit down for casual chow or take it home to pretend you can actually cook soul food!
