My girlfriend/partner and I were starving when we hit this place last night. We're staying in Gallipolis for a genealogy conference and after a moderately long trip from New Albany, we wanted some good eats. This place seemed like a good place to go at 9pm, as it  had a little bit of a nightlife sports bar kind of feel. I ate a pulled pork sandwich with fries and my girl had a chicken sandwich and chips. We shared a salad. The fries were decent, not cooked in old oil, I don't believe. The chips were soggy and not good. My partner asked for cheese and, instead of bringing some real cheese, our server brought us two pieces of American cheese. It's not bad for some people, but we just like REAL cheese. The pork sandwich was a little dry, but not too bad. It wasn't a real tasty sauce. I had a nice sweet tea, but this place is a beer place. I liked that there was a poster on the wall of Fenway Park and Muhammad Ali. The servers were kind of hanging out at the front of the place, where we were sitting, which was a little odd, but I guess it was quieter where we were sitting, away from all the sports fans and beer drinkers in the middle section of the place. I give it two stars, because I've experienced better, but I still tipped our server $6 on $18, because she did check on us and was decently attentive. I thought she did a decent job, other than the American cheese part. I'd say that Gallipolis could do better.
Review Source:Avoid avoid avoid. First time here it took over 43 minutes for a BURGER to make it to my table! Second time they completely forgot to put my order in but were nice enough to not charge me for my coke. Brilliant. Then one night months later I was craving wings but didn't want to make them myself. So I called in an order. I was told they were busy so it would be about 40 minutes. This would have made it roughly 10 minutes before the kitchen closes when I get my food. I show up and get in line behind 3 people. The first guy asks for an order of 20 wings to go. Hot and naked which was the same as I ordered. They were setting out on a desk so the lady gave the guy the ones sitting there. My turn comes up and it's now after 9 since I had to wait till after the other 2 people paid. I ask for my wings and the response was, and I quote, sorry that guy took the last order and our kitchen just closed. Turned out to be ok though. Mcnuggets with hot sauce tasted better anyway.
Review Source:Considering the selection of restaurants in Gallipolis, this is probably one of the best places to eat. I was impressed by how huge the place is and even though it was pretty busy, it wasn't too crowded or loud but we also went around dinner time and there were a lot of older folks and kids. My husband had the ribeye which he said was surprisingly good for bar food; however the onion rings he ordered for a side were actually onion strings and not good at all (he enjoyed his loaded baked potato though). As a vegetarian, I made a meal of sides and appetizers. I loved the fried mushrooms and even though the salad was made with iceberg lettuce, I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere enough to go back if we were in the area.
Review Source:Good quality food, pretty decent selection of draft beers.
They also have 6-7 "specialty" mixed drinks. Â You know, the kind that come in neon colors and have novelty names.
The menu has everything from steaks, to sandwiches, to burgers - everything was good!
This place is HUGE and was pretty full the night we were there. Â I'd definitely say this is one of the better places to eat in Gallipolis.
