My girlfriend and I ended up in galesburg after a short Amtrak ride from Chicago. While waiting around for a pick-up and needed a bite to eat. I said, "what about trying this place called Crappy's?" She replied, "I can't imagine ever eating at a place called Crappy's." I said, "Well then, it's settled. We'll eat at Crappy's!"
It was your typical smallish-town sports bar and grill. There were a good mix of families and drunken yahoos. The waitress was super friendly and recommended a not-so-hot (nearly flavorless) unbreaded tenderloin and the chicken wings, which turned out to be quite delightful. There were about a million sauce choices for the wings and the spicy BBQ sauce was a winner. The hand-cut fries were great.
The menu was huge and I'm sure there is some great stuff on it. If i'm ever in Galesburg again I will probably eat at Crappy's. If i do, i'll be ordering wings instead of the tenderloin.
