Crescent Ballroom

Closest thing to hipster environment mixed with great service and great tunes.

This is all I've heard about since moving here.  I don't get it.  I mean, it was fine.  It's a bar with a venue in the back for shows.  We were in the front portion of the place and the patio being as how there was an event in the back.  But perhaps you have to be AT the show to experience the place.  I mean, there was a patio.  Cool.  However the hipsters on the pation were smoking like chimneys and it was disgusting. Take your skinny jeans and cigs and go be cool out on the sidewalk. Smoking is gross.. haven't you got the memo yet?  We went inside and danced when the DJ started, but the 'dance floor' is releatively small.  Overall its a good bar, but I just don't get the hype.

Very fun, upbeat place to hang out with a group of friends!

I've actually had a couple of friends perform at Crescent Ballroom, and hear that most other performers/shows end up being pretty entertaining as well.

Service and food were so-so, but didn't take away from the overall experience. Looking forward to my next visit here!
