This is what a bar should be. The patrons were rough but friendly, the bar was a dive, but clean. I stopped in for a beer break on a cross country road trip. I ordered an Easy Street Wheat on tap for $3.25 and sat at the bar for about 15-20 minutes. There were a couple bikers, couple of ranchers, a couple alcoholics. There was also an old man named Jasper. He had a beard, a few teeth, was wearing a scarf, cowboy hat, boots and flannels. He spoke unintelligible English. I can only assume that he is a gold prospector.
They have a large stage/dancefloor that wasn't being used on Monday 2 p.m.
If you are just driving through, this might be your best option for a beer. I drove around town for 10 minutes before I found a bar and that bar, the Drunk Skunk, was closed on Sunday and Monday. I walked around the Downtown area for another couple minutes before I found this place.
