I am a golfer who loves good steak & fish with a delicious salad after leaving the links. This is a great place with good ambians, good service, and a beautiful view. I do not go to Brandon without stopping in.

The server was pretty distracted, and took a long time to set our table, which she didn't dry. In the process she forgot napkins, and we had to ask for water. Overall, the food was of your typical tourist trap quality, but not bad.

I would actually rate this a 3.5 star.  Stopped for lunch with a friend and had the Captains Choice, which consisted of one oyster, one scallop, one shrimp and like two or three small pieces of fish and fries.  The batter was good, not too heavy and the fries were a decent FSA/Sysco-type and just a tad overcooked or so it seemed.  The chowder was good, not great, but good.  It came with two small pieces of bread and butter that tasted GREAT!  I like how their water has a slight orange taste and when the server comes back to refill your glass you see sliced oranges and a sliced lime in the pitcher-  Really good!  Service was good and fast.  Price was a little high, but hey, when in Bandon you can expect that a little unless you want a corn dog or something like that.  I would not have any problems going back.

Stopped in to the lounge for Monday Night Football. Small bar with a TV but the full restaurant menu. OK beer and wine selection. Cozy warm feeling but limited seating.

The food is OK. The seafood linguine was pretty good. The salad was good. The calamari can be passed on. The chowder is pretty good. The view....Great!

A smoothly run restaurant with nice ocean view.  The house salad was good, with a mildly sweet dressing.  A modest wine list, so I opted for one of the several microbrews they offer on tap.  For a small pitcher and the cioppino, the tab was $34, high for Bandon, but not compared to big city eateries.

Ambience in a old school well used interior the looks out towards the marina & ocean, a very cozy place to get out of the bad weather.. a little under staffed for one server, but nice and friendly and okay food. We only had a appi and shared the fresh fish which tasted fresh.

We had a very tasty meal. It was the middle of the week in the off season. Service was good. I would go back.

The food was ok, definitely not worth the price. She spent $60 on ok chicken and fatty steak.the waitress was friendly when she did come by our table.  When we were the only ones in the dining room, the waitress did not check on us because she was too busy talking about her boyfriend and some restraining order. She was sooo loud about it.

Rebecca and I had dinner here tonight; we enjoyed it very much.  We ate in the bar because the dinner room was full and we decided not to wait for a table there.  The service was good, but not great; the bar tender was our waiter and pours his wine glasses too full, when a bottle is purchased.  The wine list was good and fairly priced.  Rebecca had oysters and enjoyed them; i had sauteed crab, which was very good.  This restaurant does not try to be fancy.  They do have good service and very good food; we got our money's worth and then some.  We would go again.

    Passable food, but greatly overpriced.

This place is great! Stopped in after the restaurant we were seeking was closed on a Sunday night. We've been traveling on the Coast, and were a little skeptical of another seafood restaurant full of fried food, but it was really the best dinner we have had in several days!   They even served brown rice and salad that was fresh and crisp! Good kids menu!  While the burger my son ordered and devoured was quite a lot bigger than a typical kids' burger, it was delicious and he loved it!

Overall, the fish was fresh, the sides were good, the service was good, and we would go back!

The Wheelhouse Restaurant is cute and intimate. The waitress was friendly and made a special order for our picky friend. (He was craving oysters prepared a special way.) The bread was delicious and the clam chowder was perfect for that cold day. This is the best dinner restaurant in the area. If you visit during off season, be aware that the restaurants may close up at 8:00 PM. I'm not kidding. The Wheelhouse was open, lucky us!

Also, the one thing I found sad and yet comical was that there were signs around town stating not to drink while pregnant.

Lots of good food for the price. The view of the harbor is very nice as well.  I found the seating layout boring and the resturant quite small.

Stopped for lunch driving along the 101, and it was one of the absolute worst restaurants my friends and I have been to. The service and food were both abysmal. The clam chowder was nothing special, the Wheelhouse salad should have been listed as a side because the plate was tiny with clear lettuce out of a bag and canned pineapples. I called the waitress over to ask about a bigger salad, but she told me  "seafood is expensive" and walked away. The fish and chips and fish sandwich were also a remarkably small portions. The waitress didn't ask us if the food was ok till we were done, and at that point didn't seem to care anyway. Stay away. In fact, just pass Bandon all together and try another town unless you're looking for that overpriced half-assed touristy seaside thing.

After deciding not to wait in line for standing room only at the fish market in Bandon, we made our way to the Crowsnest for lunch. The service was a bit slow but they were dealing with a large amount of people who were probably also not interested in standing out in the cold. My oyster sandwich was delicious and second only to the po-boy at the Schooner in Netarts. The view was much better than the other restaurants that sit on the water (see the pics).

This is a solid place for seafood in Bandon. Service is friendly. All dinners come with sourdough bread, choice of house salad (which was really good: greens, pineapple, raisins, spicy honey based dressing) or clam chowder and a choice of potatoes. The crab sautee was really good so was the crab and salmon combo. Good choice of Oregon wines by the glass or bottle as well.
A nice place to enjoy local seafood in a relaxed setting overlooking the harbor. Good evening and good food guaranteed.

Stopped here for lunch on a drive down Hwy 101 last week. There was a brief wait before we could be seated, and it took a little on the long side before we brought water. But the setting was lovely and intimate, and the food quite tasty. My boyfriend's club sandwich was more than he could eat, but his fries were yummy (I snagged a couple). Prices were on the high side for lunch, but you come to expect that when traveling on the Coast.
