Was staying at the attached resort.  Needed a place to go hang out after everything closes, so my wife and I hung out here.  Def a bit pricey but food was decent.  Got mostly appetizers and drinks.  Fries were the star of the show.  Had Marissa as a waitress.  She made the experience great, super friendly and attentive.  Ask for her if you plan on getting a few drinks.

On a whim one dreary afternoon we checked out the Crush Ultra Lounge. What a great surprise! The martini menu is great, the food is excellent ( burger w/ blue cheese; crab salad; & a reuben were ALL perfect!) the prices very reasonable.  Was surprised to see all the local deals/offers for bowling and happy hour - we WILL be going back! Only down note...service was very friendly but really, really slow.

Crush is built into the Meritage, which is kind of a weird place. However, Crush was a highlight of the Meritage experience. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I had a great burger and great fries. Crush is pretty noisy, as they have a built-in bowling alley. While the idea of a high-end bar with a bowling alley might be novel (for California); it's not cheap.
However, after a few days of meetings..it was a great place to get away, grab a burger and a glass of wine and read a book.
While this place is kind of an insta-resort...Crush isn't bad.

I love coming to Crush lounge but when my friends and I went last night, we had, by far, the worse bartender, ever. The girls ordered a lemon drop martini and the guys some beer. The beer was great but when our lemon drop Martinis came out, they were half full, and no where near how it supposed to taste, the quality of the drink was just not there. We asked the waitress to ask the bartender why we were paying $10 for this little amount of cocktail, he simply replied with, "its the standard pour". Standard pour my a$$. The waitress though was nice enough to replace my drink because I was not about to drink that half full cocktail. Like I said, I love Crush Lounge, but if Kevin is the bartender, I suggest you guys look for a better place that's worth your money.

Not bad for a bar in the middle of nowhere. But nothing to loose sleep over. The hotel on the other hand , oh I could make a list of bad architecture and noise issues.

Based on the other reviews, you would think these people do not know how to have fun! You know me better than that, this girl loves fun and knows how to have a good time.

After check in, we decided to get drinks and popped over to the Crush Ultra Lounge. I was suprised how many people were there, because I assumed it would be people only staying at the hotel. It got even busier during the Niners game, GO NINERS!

My guy ordered a Napa Smith Porter and I couldn't decide. I wanted a spicy margarita and the bartender Kevin, just made one up using the ingrediants he had. It was so good and should be put on the menu. We also ordered the Sweetie shooters, they were pretty good and light shots. Cheers to a fantastic birthday weekend just kicking off.

We were craving oysters, so Kevin called and made sure they had them at the other restaurant before we left and set us up with the bartender over there. It was a very courtious gesture and when we arrived at the next place, the bartender there hooked us up!

We had so much fun we came back to bowl a couple rounds a couple days later and enjoyed a pitcher of beer and the chicken skewers. I'd like to think I let him win for his birthday, but my guy totally klcked my butt. ;)

The drink specials were cool...$5 for some vodka thing I would totally have again. The decor was cool although I found the lighting to be a tad bright. We ordered some of their fries as a snack and they tasted like bananas, which was odd.  Our server was great and took them off our bill, but at that point we weren't hungry anymore.

The bowling alley is very odd...only black lights, narrow lanes and only seating for like 15 people total....the strangest part is the bowling pins are on strings. Its just weird...not that I am an avid bowler but after a few bourbon's I'm not too shabby and my game is incredibly impaired with the stupid pins on strings.

That's it...its a so-so place, plenty of better places to visit when in the Napa Valley.

Odd concept for a Wine Country resort, but the service was good, drinks were strong, and we had a good time.

We went there for the bowling, it was fun and a bit disappointing, they have a great concept, but they bought a cheap pinsetting system that isn't as accurate as a traditional bowling alley.  But if you have enough drinks, it really doesn't matter.

Terrible experience here when we were hoping for a unique fun night out. Although the bowling alley is located at a high end resort, there is nothing high end about this bowling experience other than the furnishings and decor.

Terrible service. None of the servers have any clue about what they are doing or how to serve their guests. We really wondered where they hired these people. Telemarketers from India? Employees that were used to working inside a parkinglot ticket booth? In addition to low quality servers, the service was extremely slow.

To add to the poor service, the room temp in the bowling area was extremely hot even though it was a cold evening. Everyone was sweating. I requested that they fix the temperature and the response was confusion. "I will see if there is anything that we can do." The temperature was never fixed and no one followed up with us.

The icing on the cake: what do you get for slow service, severely lacking servers,  mediocre appetizers, and uncomfortably hot surroundings? An extremely overpriced evening.

    We will never return.

Not bad for a resort sports bar. They have a bowling alley and a good number of TVs around the bar. We stopped by for their $6 appetizer specials. They were all pretty decent (tuna wontons, wings, corn dogs).

A bowling alley in a "luxury resort" in Napa?  Um . . .okay.  It just felt like one of those puzzles to solve of "Which thing doesn't belong to this set?"

Listen.  I get that the Meritage Resort is trying to make itself a destination.  But a bowling alley just seemed out of place.  Especially since the rest of the bar is kind of nice with seating clusters around the fireplaces and sports being played on multiple flat screens around the place.  The cacophony of the pins crashing just seemed to take something away from the otherwise nice ambiance.

Service was a mixed bag.  At night- our server was a bit clueless.  She didn't know when the kitchen closed, couldn't get us a sandwich from room service, took forever to bring the drinks and when she did my martini was made with gin instead of vodka.

But in the light of day- the bartender was great!  Made an excellent Bloody Mary and took very good care of us.

I guess the biggest positive is if you stay at this hotel- it's the only place on the resort property that is open after 11pm.  But that's about all it has going for it unless you go during the day!

So my friend and I were looking for a place to watch the 49ers play before heading back home from a wonderful Napa weekend and I suggested we check out the Crush Ultra Lounge. We are Shell Vacation Club members and enjoy staying at the Vino Bello when we can (though we didn't this trip - couldn't get in - another story for another yelp review) and were excited to experience the latest expansion of our resort, so going here seemed perfect.

The food was good: my friend got the burger and fries and liked it (the skin on the fries was a very nice touch). I got the House salad and it was very large and good (a little too much dressing, but I could have asked for it on the side), and I really like the addition of the seasonal cherry tomatoes (both red and yellow). The food was pricey, but it is Napa, so I think it is expected. After we ate we walked around the bowling alley, fitness center, and new grounds, and everything looks beautiful, with all details attended to - even the bathroom is super nice!

So, here are my problems...each tv is clearly marked with what game is on where, so you know what you are getting when you sit down, and there is a flyer on each table with Sunday food and drink specials for the football games (even announces the Sunday NFL Ticket). The flyer says " $7 Game Zone Appetizers" so I decided to order an appetizer, which I don't normally do but the special caught my eye, so I asked my server which appetizers were on the special, especially since the appetizer fries were only $6. She replied, "Well, basically they mostly all are on special, and they are $6." I pointed out they were $7, and she said, "Yeah, $6. Pretty much all of them." I decided on the Chicken Skewers and a salad. The skewers were good and the salad was mentioned earlier.

End of meal and the check comes and I was charged $10 for the appetizer. I mentioned that she said all the appetizers were $6 (even though the flyer said $7) and she said she would go ask. She returns a few minutes later and says "Well, I did what I could, but the Chicken Skewers aren't part of the deal, the Chicken Wings are." What?? I'm not saying the customer always has to be right, but would it have killed the manager to take $3 off of my bill because the flyer is printed that says $7 appetizers all day? In my opinion, that was really uncool.

Uncool thing #2 - so we came to the Ultra Lounge in our San Francisco 49ers gear and were watching the San Francisco 49ers play on a couple of different screens, the sound is awesome and the tv's are great, then towards the end of the 3rd quarter the sound suddenly changes to the New England Patriots game. My friend and I look around as to what happened, then when the 3rd quarter ended decided to go to the bartender to ask about the change and were told "The couple at the bar didn't think anyone was watching the game and asked us to change the sound to the other game, but we can put the sound on for the 49ers game in a different area/zone if you want to move." Again, what?? So after about 10 minutes I went up to the bar and asked about the sound and to what area/zone I should move in order to watch the rest of the game. The manager (?) was there at that time and the bartender told her about the couple that wanted it changed, then the manager did say "Well, this is the Bay Area and we should have the sound for the local team," and the sound was restored, which was nice, but why was it changed to begin with?

I really, really, really wanted to love this place, but after visiting I can say I kind of like it. Will I hang out here the next time I stay at the Vino Bello? Probably. Will I recommend it to friends? Maybe. Will I remember this experience and wonder if this is the standard of customer service for such an expensive and luxurious resort? Definitely.

Not really a fan of their food but I enjoy bowling and alcohol anyway...
Recommend:  Local Beer and Wine.   Huge bowl of Salad.   Po-Boy.
Not Recommend: Burger (it's like a Big Mac with foofoo bun) and BLT.
    Fries are not crisp enough.

Would be a lot COOLER if there was a dance floor or with live music!

    what a joke.
    6 bowling lanes
"can I bring my family in to bowl" (we were staying at the resort).
"No - you can't bring in minors" (we have an 8 year old child).
How much is it?. $20 per person per hour.
    "Are you kidding me?"
I was going to bowl and spend $$ on food and drink, but no thanks

Inside the Meritage Resort and Spa but warrants a call out for food quality and fun factor!

A bowling alley inside a hotel? You betcha! For those LA-area people this looks like a small Lucky Strike and has pool tables and bowling lanes. I ate the Chicken Po Boy - which was really delicious. My wife had a giant salad which she found quite satisfying.

Now this place is not cheap. You'll spend about a $100 to eat, drink, and bowl for one hour for two people. But, we wanted to do it so we did!

They should produce some "I bowled in Napa" T-Shirts or something. :)
