Driving...and driving...and driving...and no food. Â This DQ is located along a very lonely stretch of interstate. Â It was a relief to see a DQ sign at the next exit!
I may be the only person who noticed, but some DQs have the "Belt Buster" line of burgers while others just have standard burgers. Â They are flavored the same, but the Belt Busters come with lettuce, tomato, etc and are MUCH MUCH bigger than what I'm used to. Â I think it is a Texas thing, because when I leave the state the burgers shrink back down to normal size.
Anyway, for those who do know what I"m talking about...this one has the Belt Buster line.
It has all your standard favorites though...and fried pickles? Â what? Â *shrug*
The people were friendly enough, though the girl taking my order didn't seem entirely 'all there up there'. She seemed a bit unfocused. Â But hey, we all have bad days.
Some days the food is really great and somedays its just okay.  The cheese burgers and onion rings are consistently good and  chicken strip baskets are good most of the time.  Every time I have gotten the spicy chicken strip meal they are over cooked and lose most of the food from peeling the dry overcooked stuff off.  To bad since it has such a great flavor.  Tried a chicken strip wrap a few days ago and it was not eatable.  Chicken strips seem to be getting worse with more batter than chicken.
