Great little local spot. In my opinion they make the best fried pickles in the country.

Great breakfast food and pretty great specials (last time I was in they had fried green tomatoes).

And of course great service.

Mullet special was good for lunch.  Perfectly cooked.

Overall good food. They serve breakfast, lunch and of course dinner. Everyone raves about their seafood but on a scale of 1-10 I would have to give them about an 7.5

On the other hand their hamburgers, breakfast, etc is always a 9.

The only real gripe that I have with them is that when you order a seafood platter they won't let you exchange anything. For example, I don't eat oysters and they won't even let you swap them for a simple bowl of cheese grits.

Other Notes: They are the only restaurant open in Vernon on Monday, Closed Sunday and typically close the doors at 8-8:30 p.m. on all other nights.
