Wow, we love this place!
I dont know what that guy was talking about having things microwaved.
Maybe he took too long in the restroom and his food got cold! LOL
You can look in the kitchen through a serving window and see that everything is right there in the pots! Â This food is made fresh every day!
We love the ribs! Â Their sauces are awesome, we took a few bottles home and we put it on our chicken we are roasting for the Super Bowl tonite! Â YUM
They have a nice bar area and lots of neat beer to choose from as well as wine.
The decor is really cool too, like being out west!
The servers are polite and very fast, they always get a great tip from us!
The location is really cool too, right by the RR tracks in the village. Â Its like going to an old western town! Â There are also alot of Antique Stores right there, we had a great time browsing and getting some neat stuff, then we went to dinner at Desperados!
We had a wonderful time in Angola !!!
Dont miss out on a wonderful Rib dinner! you have to visit!
We give it 10 stars!
We have been to Desparados many times and are always pleased. Â This place specializes in Carolina-style barbecue and offers chicken, brisket, ribs and pulled pork or chicken. Â Their cornbread is great. Â My husband loves the gumbo. Â Beer is cold, with a good selection. Â What we love about the place is the atmosphere-- they have great music videos from across the spectrum, and the service is great. Â They really care about the food (hard to find in this area), and they have a great ambience.p
Review Source:If you have not tried Desperados, you are missing out! Amazing food and southern hospitality. The BBQ is out of this world! You have to try the chili!!!! There are so many options from ribs to pulled pork, brisket, and pulled chicken there is definitely something for everyone!! The owner and staff are wonderful and truly make you feel at home! You will not be disappointed!
Review Source:Just left this place and will never be back. Â We've had good food here before but something certainly changed. First my beer was served in a cracked glass and it was a hassle with the bartender to get it replaced. Â Then the food arrived. I received cold ribs and cold pulled chicken. Â My girlfriend received cold ribs and cold pulled pork. Â The side potatoes were cold as well, although the beans were hot. Â Apparently they are a microwave BBQ place now.
Review Source:They catered my brother's graduation party and my post-wedding 4th of July cookout. Both times we were very pleased with the food. Quality is great and many people gave compliments. I like to give this place business as it is a small start up in the village of Angola; with that location they need all the business they can get!! I highly recommend!!
Review Source:I really liked this place. Â It has a wonderful western feel and is in an old nicely restored building in the village. Â They have a bar to the left and the dining room is pretty much separate. Â I had the pulled chicken sandwich with cornbread and soup. Â The sandwich was delicious, moist, smokey chicken and they give you 3 sauces to choose from on the side. Â The cornbread was a little sweet, light, and had honey butter on top! Â I had the chicken wing soup which definitely had a lot of blue cheese in it and a lot of chicken. Â I wish it had a noticeable celery taste though. Â I tried a bite of the pear and walnut salad-it was very fresh and tasty. Â It had candied nuts and Gorgonzola cheese.
Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Â The bathrooms were extremely clean and pretty fancy. Â Their menu had a good amount of items and they had a specials board also. Â If I had room I would have tried dessert, they had probably 5 different options. Â I will be back!
