During my time in the Metropolis area I ate exclusively at Diane's Diner. Â Over the course of those meals I got to know the owners pretty well. Â The eponymous Diane was in poor health and her daughter and son-in-law were running the place while their children drew pictures in the corner. Â Diane better be proud because these people are running her restaurant well.
I have never had better, cheaper diner food in my life. Â One night I showed up a few minutes after closing time and they actually opened up just to serve me a grilled cheese and coffee.
