Considering the very high quality of food, I'm always surprised by how cheap our bill is here, even when we order drinks. The sandwiches are all great. The new coffee crusted steak is phenomenal. The salads are tasty too, though the prices always lead me to believe I'll get a slightly larger portion. Don't expect to order salad instead of sandwich. You'll end up very hungry.
Drinks are delicious and the bar says they welcome suggestions and a challenge. They love to help you with your selection, especially with wines. One early lunch we both craved mimosas and were quickly accommodated. They must have looked good, because the table next to us ordered them, too!
This is a great place to meet friends, and they do have a kids menu if you feel like bringing the family. The other side of the restaurant is available to reserve as a whole, which would make this the perfect place for a large family get together or small office Christmas party.
My only complaint is the occasional slightly less than stellar service, and the rather short evening hours. We once met a couple here at 8 on a Tuesday, and they close at 9. Doc's was in no way rushing us - in fact they never even mentioned they were closed, and urged us to stay as long as we liked - but we felt bad staying well past 9. We also ended up leaving the last time we arrived for lunch, because no one appeared to notice we arrived. We waited at least 5 minutes, but no ever came to the front of the house. I'm hoping this isn't a common occurrence, and it certainly won't keep us from returning. Also, they're closed on Sunday, which means a group of 12 of us who meet for Sunday dinner once a month are very sad we can never meet here!
Holy shit. Hidden gem in Marysville.
I'm big on the home-grown stuff, and this place utilizes there own farm, features local wines, and change up their menu as the seasons progress.
This is like the middle ground between Old Bag (beers and burgers) and Doc Henderson's (upscale and pricey).
A few friends and I have been here a few times - and the staff is extremely friendly, with fair prices and *great* service. GET THE BURGER. Or the sliders - it's all delicious - and the goat cheese?
Simply amazing.
Stumbled on this place yesterday; apparently it's only been open for a month. Â I'm not much of a wine guy but I do like food, and there weren't many other options nearby so I gave it a shot. Â Glad I did. Â
It's related to the nearby, more upscale Doc Henderson's. Â It's fairly cozy, but nice inside. Â The service was great, the prices reasonable for what you get, and the food was excellent. Â I had a club sandwich, which was probably the best I've ever had. Â Also the sauerkraut balls appetizer, which came with sauce, bread, cheese, and sausage. Â Each item was great on its own, making the whole thing incredible. Â Veggies were fresh; they try to buy local. Â Portions are decent; I had enough left over for another lunch.
