Now don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not from the south. Â I couldn't figure out if catfish is fresh or not due to the fact that it's fried.... Â I mean I have had some really good fish sticks in my life, but I was a child and wasn't rating them for yelp.
Not bad as far as dive dinner food goes. Â The help was nice and got our orders correct. Â I almost gave them a three just cause one of our friends is a smoker from California and has never been able to sit in a diner and have a smoke after her meal. Â
I would stop her before eating fast food or at the gas station across the street.
NOTE: I clicked saying that this place wasn't good for children, but that's only if you care about secondhand smoke.
We found this randomly on the way back from Mammoth Cave National Park. Instead of going to regular fast food across the street, head here instead. Good ol' country food - the fried catfish tasted so fresh and the fried okra, mashed potatoes and johnny cakes were awesomely hearty. Dirt cheap too.
