Donna's Drive-In

We stopped here for breakfast. Good strong coffee. I ordered a half size plate and still could not finish my meal. One person took our order, cooked it and worked the register. The service is not fast, but the guy was friendly and attentive. They had a drawer filled with old toys for kids to play with. Also I noticed Cyrus O'Leary pies in the cooler. We only saw the breakfast menu. Big portions, cheap prices, and our food was all cooked to order.

This is an honest-to-goodness, good old fashioned drive-in. The tables are sticky, the floors under the tables are stripped of color where diners' shoes have worn them bare, and there is one table reserved for the regulars. Morning coffee drinkers show up at 6 a.m. where their mug waits for its first fill of the day. The breakfasts are amazing. Lunches are served in a basket and the "fancier" dinners are served up on real porceline. The decor and the clientele aren't fancy, but you'll leave well-fed.
