Good bar food at a reasonable price. Â Friendly staff. Â A little smoky from the regulars who must have never read the Surgeon General's warning.
Try the triple cheeseburger - two quarter patties sandwiched between three kinds of cheese. Â Fries are a side item but good and there are lots of them.
So this place has long been known as a dive with a predictable array of barflies that frequent the joint. Â However, the business now claims new owners, so I gave it a whirl with a dear friend. Â We sat on the bar side, as there are clearly separate dining/drinking sections. Â The menu had several items, all fairly typical American fare. Â Their bottle list was merely ok to not great, but they did have Sam Adams, Sol, and Guinness. Â Their taps were only two in number, and both dedicated to Super-industrial tasteless lagers.
The decor was pretty neat though--it has old barn siding throughout with agricultural antiques festooning the walls. Â The food was nothing to write home about, but for Arcadia, I'd eat there again. Â I like the fact that they exist, and they are trying, and I am willing to give them another opportunity, perhaps on Friday or Saturday, when they advertise live entertainment, and perhaps more people to mingle with.
