Meh...Not really impressed with this place. The place was fairly busy, which is usually a good indication that the food and service is good, but I'm wondering if it was more because it was a Sunday and Bowie is a small town.
The atmosphere is surprisingly not Mexican-style at all. The decor, etc., definitely did not have a Mexican feel.
Our server spilled my water on our complimentary tortilla chips, asked if we'd like a new bowl, but never brought them to us.
The meals are a little pricey for what you get. Our server forgot about us after we received our orders and we had to wave her down to get drink refills. When we were done eating, we were handed the check and were surprised that the server didn't ask if we'd like dessert. We felt as though we were being hurried out the door.
We're rarely up in the Bowie area, but the next time we are I doubt we'd go back to Dos Chiles. We've had much better Mexican food, better service and more reasonable prices elsewhere.
I know this is a Mexican restaurant but I ordered a burger to avoid making different stops because Jon wanted Mexican food. I've ordered burgers at Mexican restaurants before and they have been pretty tasty. I didn't enjoy the burger here though because it was soggy. If you eat here pass on the burgers and order something else.

Order: Carne asada burrito with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, and sour cream.
Received: Carne asada burrito w/ cilantro, tomatoes and onions; Â guacamole, and sour cream was on the side- okay but not what I asked for. So where is the lettuce? I didn't know either which is why they didn't get 4 stars.
Dos Chilies is awesome Mexican food! It is a clean, fast, and serves great food! The owners, manager and wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. They are known for their fajitas and if you are there on Wednesdays they have THE BEST Chicken Tortilla Soup. My family and I eat there several times a week.
