Interesting if you are a Dr. Pepper fan. The tour of the bottling machine is pretty neat.

What an awesome visit! Took some family here and it was really a treat to see all of the collectibles. Even got a float at the end of the tour. Just FYI, there is a good chance you won't get cell service out here if you're traveling...especially if you have Verizon. The people are really friendly and knowledgeable about the history. I made a trip from Dallas specifically to come take this tour and taste the real sugar sodas. They didn't have root beer, so I suppose I'll have to go back out soon and I'm OK with that.

We had to visit this place while we were in town.  A fun fact.  They had a gift shop next to the bottling museum which they no longer bottle at.  Nice stuff at the gift shop and they serve treats.  Guided tours and self guided.  We did the self because the next guided was a while away.  This one is across the street.  The staff was all so friendly.  It's a small fee to see the museum.  Your ticket is a little sticker.  The one across the street is small.  You can't see the bottling museum on a self tour.  Did you know that the cans used to be blue?  I would have never thought.  Nice to stop in and enjoy.

Snapple Group may have forced Dublin Dr Pepper to stop production, but the soda shop and museum are still going strong! And there's still other delicious Dublin-only sodas to be had!

Dublin needs your support now more than ever!

Super cute and worth stopping. The helpful teens gladly got out boxes of postcards upon inquiry.

Please don't confuse this Dublin Dr. Pepper Museum with the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco. The Dublin establishment is the ONLY place that still makes Dr. Pepper with cane sugar.

This weekend the new "Museum Annex" opens. That's right, they've expanded. Go check out the new digs and then go to Granny Clark's up the road to eat.

This was a cute place. My parents and I went during the week in the morning and were able to have a private tour.  Our tour guide was friendly and allowed us plenty of questions.
This would have received 5 stars but  though ppl were friendly they are a bit stand offish at first, Im use to business welcoming and greeting people from the start and our tour didn't start on time. But other than that it was a good experience.

I'm not much for touristy things that you have to pay $$ for.  This I figured why not.  I came down to get my dad some of the Dublin Dr. Pepper he loves so much.  He cant get it in DFW as they only sell it in 100 mile radius to the factory.  I love to take care of my dad when I live at home, so I packed up the kid and away we went for a little weekend to Fort Hood.  You can order the drinks through the website, but its cheaper to just go there and get it (provided you're within driving distance)

To sum it up, it was just fun.  Everybody gets a bottle of the Dr. Pepper (it has cane sugar).  We sit around sipping and listening to tales of the history of the Dr. Pepper factory.  It has a bottler that you can touch.  They use it certain days of the week also.  Lots and lots of Dr. Pepper memorabilia.  Its not a lot of walking either.

When your done, you can go to the side that has stuff for sale.  I bought ten cases of the Dr. Pepper  Took me forever to buy those as there's one line for everything.  I choose not to eat there as it would have taken forever.  Also, the prices were a little high for what it was. It's all sandwich's and crap.

The bad thing about this place is that its always packed.  The manager told me this as he helped me pack the cases into my car (he had to get some from the back).  My uncle loved the old NuGrape with cane sugar and I was gonna get him some, so  I also inquired as to if they had it (all I saw was regular NuGrape cans)  Low and behold, I was told they do do NuGrape with sugar on occasion.  They only do it in bottles.  Problem is, you have to provide the bottles.  I can order some through China or India, but then we're starting to look into big money.  I don't think my uncle will drink enough to warrant me getting them.  Especially since he's diabetic and his wife watches his diet like a hawk.

A little bit of planning and Dr. Pepper can be part of a nice weekend for you. The area out here is so economically depressed.  Why should you go spend you money overseas on vacation?  Spend it here.

I'm not sure where all of these photos were taken, but they were not taken at the Dublin Dr Pepper museum in Dublin.

A tiny little town, a tiny little bottling company and a tiny little soda shop next door is pretty much what Dublin is made of.  You buy your tickets in the soda shop for the tour and as it starts you are given a frosty cold, full of slush, Dublin Dr Pepper to enjoy while touring the bottling area.  As you walk through the little tour, you are given a complete history of Dublin Dr Pepper bottling.  As you leave the bottling area, you walk into an air conditioned room full of memorabilia from the private collection of Bill Kloster.  Photos, desk, cash register, clocks, slogans, all there, and history is given while you walk through the various rooms and admire them.

Definitely worth the few dollars they charge for admission!!

Yes, another foolish tour by the foolish boys commenced to Waco to see the David Koresh place and the Dublin Dr. Pepper Museum.

The museum itself is nice a place to take a quick tour of how they made Dr. Pepper in the beginning.  This is a place you can buy genuine Dublin Dr Pepper, still made with the original Imperial Pure Cane Sugar formula. They also bill themselves as the oldest Dr. Pepper plan in the world.   Does anyone remember the 10, 2, 4 slogan and commercials. For that matter do you remember the days when soda bottles were 5 cents?  We spent about two hours or more looking at all the old stuff including bottles and watching the movie they had. Lots of neat stuff.

They also have a souvenir store with all kinds of stuff from glassware, t shirts and Dr. Pepper itself. We bought some.

The old doc's soda fountain was my favorite; I ordered a Dr Pepper float and a chicken salad sandwich. It was good.  They also have Moon Pies (pronounced Moon Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii), I grew up on moon pies but my buddies had never had one so they were excited to try them, I got a lot of teasing. Oh yes they had two flavors the banana flavor and the standard chocolate flavored ones.

So, if you are in Waco with nothing to do go get some old Dr. Pepper soda and browse the museum.

Would I go back?    Yes, especially for Moon Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!

You MUST stop by if you've never been! The tour is fascinating, and the shop at the end has many neat things as well as Dublin Dr. Pepper floats!

LOVE Dublin Dr. Pepper!!!!  It's one of those things that makes you mouth hurt after a few of them because they are so sweet.

THe museum has some really cool vintage soda items.  They also have a huge festival every year for the original Dr. Pepper.

I would suggest taking a stroll to shop afterwards because you can get a soda float which is amazing OMG!!!  They also have some unique gifts for Dr. Pepper fans.
