Here for a work holiday party. Â Mind you it was for a company that I don't actually work for, so that was kind of cool. The pizza was good. Â If you haven't had Durbin's pizza then you really need to try, it is a solid pizza that I would order even if I wasn't half in the bag at the bar.
Nice big area with a bunch of tables, and an adorable front patio. Â There is a back patio too, but it was night and too cold so I couldn't really see it. Â There is also a "back" bar that is closed off for smokers. Â I was just hanging out back there and almost lost my voice from the poor ventilation. Â On the plus side, they have industrial overhead heaters that are about a foot above you that let you know what the pizza goes through before they bring it out to you. Â
The also have a dart board, which is important to me as my friends are intolerably boring and we need something to distract us from each other. Â And until the beer kicks in darts do the trick quite nicely. Â
We were here on a slow night and that is probably the difference between the service we received and what all the other reviews say. Â We were pretty much the only ones in the bar, but there were a dozen of us. Â The first waitress' shift ended half way through our evening and they transitioned seamlessly. Â Then as the night went on the new waitress kept our orders straight and as far as I know only forgot one beer.
I order pizza here for delivery and the pizza is good. However, to dine in, NO FRIGGEN WAY. I will NEVER return for a dine in experience. The waitress for one seemed flighty at first, but what was rude was that while in the middle of taking our order another waitress begins a conversation, seriously RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of our order taking. It was the most rudest restaurant experience i've ever had. Then to top it off, a giant piece of plastic was found in my father's meal. Service was slow also, plain and simple. this place is bad. I won't return for dine in and actually although pizza is good, we've moved on to Beggars or Barracos for delivery. Â How this place manages to be in business still is beyond me, the place is gross.
Review Source:Went there for lunch with a gal pal--it was convenient to where our book club had met so we went. It's dark and gross and doesn't feel like it's been cleaned in eons. We were there on a Sat afternoon, and it smelled mildewy. Yuck. I've never understood the appeal of any of the Durbin's locales' but this was really unappealing.
Review Source:Wife and I had a Groupon, so we tried Durbins out. I am a rib freek, and when I read the menu with the Branding Iron Ribs, that was all I head to read. The sauce was from the Branding Iron, the ribs were NOT. Soup was good, service was good, food was so-so. For my money when we are in the area, the best is still Bartoline's on Pulaski
Review Source:Went on Tuesday for $1 Tacos and $2 Margaritas - with a group of 9. Â Wasn't that busy, but service was horrible. Â The waitress was MIA for most of the night and then would rush over and see what we needed - then would never bring it. Â
Food and drink were average bar food - you can't be the price. Â However, with bad service, I'll go to one of the other locations.
I love sports, beer, and a great shot of patron. This place has all three. I went there to watch a Sox game and I could not believe the Corona was 2 bucks and Patron shots for 3 bucks. This is a sports fan heaven. There are BIG screen tv's everywhere so no matter where you sit you cna view the game. Now let's talk food the pizza ten thumbs up, and the hot wings are FIRE. Everyone should visit Durbins for a great time of food , beer , and patron shots.
Review Source:Wow I can't believe I ended up in Midlothian on a Sunday night. That's my crazy sister for ya....
Every time someone says they're going to Durbin's I assumed they meant going to the one on 79th and Central because that's the only one I knew existed. They have expanded and have locations in Tinley and on 103rd and Kedzie in addition to this one, maybe more. It definitely feels kinda sterile inside, but at least it's nice and the bathrooms are clean. They have pretty good drink specials including $1.00 bottles on some nights and a $25 bears buffet package. Not a terrible place to go, but not the most exciting either. It beats Papa T's, that's all i know.
Durbin's in Midlo without a doubt is better than Tinley's, in my humble opinion...or IMHO for you computer savvy folks.
Alot less crowded than TP and not as many meat heads roaming around.
pretty decent specials, especially on Wed night for their $1.50 bottles. Â
The food was all right, but the service was super slow especially for how many people were not there. Â The waitress was a sweetheart and by the end of the night she was going shot for shot with us...which looking back on it... probably added to the slowness of the service. Â
