  Really good pulled pork BBQ. They do ribs on Saturday but they sell out fast so make sure you call and reserve a few slabs.

  We spent a glorious 9 days out at Lake Burton and were told by several locals that we just HAD to try Durk's, which is located next to (it's the same building) the Lake Burton Grocery.  And I'm so glad we did!  As the name suggests, we got takeout and it was really good.  Prices were extremely reasonable and we got a ton of food!  We had pulled pork sandwiches, stew, biscuits and coleslaw... all in, I think we only spent $15.  They have a different special every day like prime rib, among others, but we heard they usually sell out quickly so you may want to call ahead.  We heard breakfast is amazing, and my husband sampled the turkey spread and chicken salad (both made in house) and they were awesome.  It's definitely a must do!  The food is good and the whole thing is just really fun.
