E-Ka Japanese Steakhouse

My favorite sushi bar. Family owned and operated. I eat here once or twice a week. The sushi is the freshest you will find. Great prices and they sell by the piece instead of by the pair. They have lots of things that aren't on the menu so be sure to ask if there is something you want that you don't see listed. They have hibachi and Korean BBQ as well.

Unfortunately this restaurant is no longer in business as of Jan. 2013

It wasn't busy on a Saturday night. Maybe that should have been a sign. The salads were small and not fresh. I got steak & chicken from the hibachi. The fried rice was mushy, the steak ('cooked medium') chewy and the chicken lacked flavor.

The bill had a 15% tip built into it, a bit presumptuous.

Awful, don't waste your time, money, or health. Old fish, poorly crafted sushi, disgusting sauces. Can't believe I tried it.

Our waitress explained the poor tasting shrimp that it wasn't her fault but that they buy it frozen. She said she would have to call the company they buy the shrimp from.

Beyond gross. Anyone who likes this has never had good seafood or good sushi.
