Edon Steakhouse

I love car trips because we get to find and eat at really nifty places in small towns.  Hubby was in the mood for a steak (for lunch) so we saw a sign for a steakhouse and decided to leave the highway and find some beef.

We pull into a tiny little town (population something like 900) and find the steakhouse.  It looks like a bar so hubby makes sure it's ok for kids.  We get the thumbs up.

The good thing is that the prices are great, the owner/bartended/server is a really nice guy, and the food it good.  Funny thing . . . they don't serve steaks.  Just bar food like burgers, fries, onion rings, etc.

No matter.  Nothing like a good excuse to shoot a $.75 game of pool.  Except for the fact that the kids both cheat and prefer to move the balls by hand or swing at each other with the cues.

Food was tasty, hot, and came out pretty quickly.

Ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a bar in a small town in Ohio.

They had a for sale sign up.  Owner said that co-owner was looking for a change. Bummer . . . every time we find something interesting . . .
