El Amigo

We just love this place! They have $2 beers for most of the week and that is any beer. They have Mac and Jack and that is what we love. The staff there is friendly and cater to your needs. I asked for guacamole last night and 5 min later they came out with a dish so big of fresh guacamole that our table of 6 all had heaping piles of it on our table. The Chef there is wonderful!! His food is woundrful and he has come out to our table on more than 1 occasion to have us taste something he made. I have tried many things on the menue and cant wait to taste more. Last week we were there 4 times. You cant beat the deal you get for the price you pay. If you havent gone yet you should put this place on your todo list.

The food is 5 Stars. The Camarones Rellanos(butterflied shrimp stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and fried)  and the Pollo  a la Crema are the best I have ever had.  Their Friday clam chowder may also be the best I have had in a long time.  Their steak and shrimp was just OK.  Their Ceviche is the cocktail type.  I prefer the plate style.  However, good Ceviche is hard to find in this area and I will have it again.  There is a lot more on the menu I have yet to try, including their American and Mexican appetizers, the $1 tacos, and their famous Filetes Rellenos (Fish bacon, shrimp, celery & butter).  They do seem to be understaffed, which is why I took away a star.  However, they place is a must stop if you love food.
