Maybe the worst Mexican good ice ever had. It was a good thing I was so hungry from hiking all day or it would have been hard to eat. To start with, tortilla chips were thick and salsa was like red water with a strange flavor. I had the enchiladas supremas which was 1 of each beef, been, cheese, and chicken enchilada. The cheese in the enchilada was only halfway melted and the whole plate was lukewarm at best. Te beef was grisly and greasy and swimming in some kind of unnaturally bright red yet flavorless excuse for enchilada sauce. On top of that, all the enchiladas were under filled and wrapped in tough, almost raw corn tortillas. The only thing that tasted somewhat normal was the shredded chicken. I wasn't expecting to be blown away in robbinsville, but this was a new low.
Review Source:First, you need to realize...you're in Robbinsville...so adjust the expectation meter accordingly. Â That shared, this Mexican restaurant didn't disappoint.
I ordered the chicken enchiladas and was impressed with the amount, if I remember right it was 4 or 5 enchiladas and I actually left one. Â Good tortillas and good, friendly service too. Â There aren't many choices in the area...but this Mexican restaurant is a good option.
Uhhh first off can I say HOLY SPELLING ERROR on the title, it's called El Pacifico...like the ocean. I submitted the change so it can easily be found because damn...I was completely confused at first.
This is an odd spot, but really really good. We parked across the street to not have to deal with the tight parking. It's bigger inside than the exterior would indicate.
The service is kind of brusque but that might be due to a slight language barrier and it's not really a big deal since when you compliment the food, they know that you like it.
I ordered the chile poblanos, stuffed with shredded chicken and topped with cheese and some kind of sauce. They were freaking amazing. For eight bucks or so, I had two big poblanos stuffed full of chicken, plus rice and beans. It says it comes with tortillas on the menu, but I didn't get any. And that's okay because there's plenty as is.
Prices are typical for Mexican food, and they could charge me $20 for a typical Mexican restaurant combination plate and I would be happy. Before you give in and eat at Wendy's or McDonald's, go here.
For where this place is located I think it's really good. It's hard to find vegetarian/vegan restaurants in such a small area. It also has a ton of non-vegetarian options too, so it's good for everyone. If you're anywhere near Deaps Gap and want something to eat, I definitely recommend here! It's not too far from Deals Gap, maybe 20-30 minutes, but if you're really hungry it's worth it.
Inside is pretty big, they play fun music, good food. The servers are friendly and helpful. Tons of options on the menu for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I feel like Mexican is always an easy place to make food vegetarian. Everything came out really quickly and the chips/salsa- YUM. Has a touch of spicy but not too spicy.
Check it out all those passing through to Deals Gap!!
