El Rancho Restaurant

I give this place 5 stars for their Philly cheese steak burrito! Salsa was fresh, not too spicy - the kids were starving and put that $h!t away!  2.5 stars is way underrated.  If you want some classy mexican food in Payson, throw El Rancho on your radar.

Two ground beef tacos, rice, and beans were scrumptious. Salsa was only 'ok', chips were warm which adds points. :) Strawberry margarita was big but not great. My Mother got green chili soup and she loved it. She also loved the salsa. :) I'm more of a picky as* but then again she can't smell so she's a bad judge :)  The soapapias (sp) were too think but good flavor. Next time I'm in Payson, AZ I will go again. It's busy but the staff keeps up!

I'm not sure what most people are looking for when visiting a small town Mexican place, but they did a great job and we will certainly go back.

Food portions were large (we split our dinner), the drinks were made well, and we left with a smile and full bellies. The spinach and chicken enchiladas were excellent.

Recommended by locals, and rightfully so.
