its changed names to mariachi grill, but the food is still average.  salsa was bland, and here's another "mexican" restaurant opening cans and using pot roast for fajita meat..

We stopped at the Best Western right next door for the night and the front desk girl
Directed us to El Torito. I walked over and went inside to place a to go order.
Was warmly greeted immediately. Waiter recommended a few things
And then took my order. At the last second, I decided to add the flan to my order.
Sure glad I did. It was the best flan I ever had anywhere ever- and I've tried
A lot of flan! Even went to a place in Manitou springs, Colorado twice in two years on two separate visits to Colorado just to have that flan and now this one beats it!!
The meals were also good. Had chicken, steak and shrimp fajita which was awesome.  Only thing that could have been better was if it had more chicken and less beef, but that's no complaint because the beef was excellent too. I just prefer more chicken that's all. The guacamole was excellent. Creamy, fresh. My husband had a taco salad. He would have like some olives and onions in it, but it came with none.
The only thing slightly negative was his salad only had 1 slice of tomato, but he really  liked the beef. The service was very fast. And they didnt forget anything. Silverware, condiments, etc. I would definitely come here again on my next trip to Texas. Food was 4 stars and dessert was 5 stars.

Was recommended to me by staff as the best restaurant in town. I believe it probably is. Lonoke is dry, which is something infuriating to someone who has just driven 11 hours straight and really would like a beer or a glass of wine. Nope. Not an option. You get water, tea, and soda at El Torito. Amazing.
Walked in and saw most diners were (a) severely obese, and (b) gringos. Looked at the menu and saw why: massive Tex Mex inspired "combo plates." Oink.
Three stars all for the waiter who graciously made me relatively authentic grilled chicken tacos--soft corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, and salsa. I was very happy for that.
