Elijah's Cafe

Excellent selection of items below $10, especially at lunch. Good kid's menu which includes desert. Usually has daily special at good price. We like parking in former competitor's covered parking so van stays cooler (competitor moved closer to school). Takes credit cards & local checks. Restrooms a bit tight if one is handicapped & doors are mounted backwards (you have to use a paper towel to get the door open to leave).

Elijah's Cafe is a great place to get traditional Southern home cooking. There are 2 locations, this one in Kirbyville and the other, 20 minutes North in Jasper.

My favorite items on the menu are the pot roast melt and the grilled chicken sandwich. The specials are not to be missed either. Beef tips and rice, chicken and dumplings, chicken and dressing, and fried catfish are some of their regular daily specials.
