Best shop in a 30-minute radius, easily.
My wife and I are coffee people, like buying out beans green an roasting them ourselves at home coffee people. And, well, this place does it for us. The Internet is fast enough for us and the food is excellent. They also have a great selection of loose leaf teas.
They're closed on Mondays and early other times which sucks, but when they're open they're worth the stop.
The food is as organic as possible and as local as possible (pro tip - ask about the stickers near the deserters if you're eating consciously, there are some v-surprises in that case).
One bad experience ever. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches to go, the sandwiches were excellent, delicious and fresh made. We were still surprised that it took more than 20 minutes to make them. So here's my advice on that, plan on eating in and you'll be pleasantly rewarded.
Nice little place in a nice little town. Â My Grandma lives here and it was great when this cafe opened up. Â It's a cute little shop with a nice local vibe. Â I'm just glad they didn't open up a Starbucks in Newport!
Thanks for the free wi-fi, good iced coffee on a hot day, and an A+ root-beer float. Â They have Friday night jam sessions and open mics which seem cool, and a lot of flyers for local events and stuff.
I love this place. I have loved it from the minute I made a quick stop on my way somewhere else.
Here are some reasons why you should stop in if you are traveling Route 322 in Pennsylvania.
Newport is a hidden gem. I'm not sure how this small town supports an arts and craft gallery of real merit and a health food store, but it does.
Espresso Yourself has a great menu but is also offers vegan and vegetarian versions of EVERYTHING on the menu - just ask for the vegan - vegetarian menu to check it out.
If you order the veg reuben - and you should - get extra napkins. Or maybe eat it with the knife and fork.
This is a true community center. They put local art on the walls - and you can usually buy it. Meetings are hosted here. They bring in musicians. And friends just come in and say hi - life like so many of us wish it could be.
It's a pretty and welcoming space.
They have a room that groups can use for events. Call and talk with them about details. Gosh, I am so in love.

While the location of this joint is out-of-the-way, it's a nice, quaint, cozy cafe to dine in. As a vegan, I appreciated their extensive, well-highlighted options; they even have a separate vegan menu, which is amazing for rural Pennsylvania.
Their tofurkey de la sol sandwich was delectable---tasty, healthy, light and inspired. All of their breads are made on the premises and they also have some pre-packaged vegan cookies. This is a great place, but I just wish they were in a better location like Harrisburg or State College.
