Express Lane is the convenience store that accompanies a Shell gas station. Â The bathrooms here were fairly disgusting, quite possibly tied for WORST overall on our two day drive from Phoenix to Illinois. There was something whitish all over the walls, the stall doors, and the dividers between the stalls; I posted a picture so you can decide for yourself what it was. Â I decided to wash my hands EXTRA carefully after that little stop. Â The sink was covered in a layer of grayish brown ick. Â I scrubbed my hands extra hard. Â The only thing redeeming about the bathroom was the XLERATOR hand dryer in the bathroom. Â For those unfamiliar with the power and pure awesomeness of the XLERATOR, it blows the air out with so much force that you will actually see it create wrinkles on the back of your hand that look almost like you see in movies when pilots' faces are experiencing g-forces. Â super cool.
Also located inside the convenience store are a Krispy Chicken Krunchers and a Mighty Elks Grill which both offer takeout food.
I bought an energy drink here and it wasn't horribly expensive and the cashier who checked me out was friendly.
The gas at the attached Shell station was reasonably priced ($.40-60/gallon cheaper than you'll find anywhere in California but about average for Texas.
