I LOVE the Fargo! Â This is the only place in town for delicious, casual food. Â They also own the Inn across the street with serves chef inspired dishes but I believe the kitchen at the Fargo adheres to the same standards.
This casual, fun pub serves mostly sandwiches and salads and specials. Â When they serve any dish with seared Tuna is sells out quickly. Â They can accommodate larger parties with a quick phone call, in fact we came here for Mother's Day because my mom loves this place too. Â
The bar has interesting beers on tap and they are very welcoming and friendly. Â

All the reviews that mentioned the fast, hot great food were right. A cute local bar and grill, that had nice character and wonderful food. I had the black bean burger with sweet potato fries, and others had the eggplant wrap and the turkey on ciabatta. It seemed like only 5 minutes after ordering, our food was sitting in front of us. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
I would definitely go back next time I am in that area.
Shocked... We went in here expecting basic food basic flavor just something to eat, was very surprised. The staff was very friendly very hospitable, the atmosphere was nice for bar, the food is excellent! Some of the best sweet potato fries that I've ever had, The meal I had was perfect, I asked everyone else and their food was great.
Don't let the small town decor fool you from the outside it is a very comfortable spot to go have a beer watch the game... and the food is great.

We just stopped in for a beverage, but the food smelled so good. Â A nice selection of beers with a number of craft beers in addition to the standard bar fare.

I rolled in with my team- 25 people in all- and we had a nice time overall.
The food in this place reminded me of a gastro-style pub, fresh fries, fresh home-made guac and salsa with hidden notes of lime and cilantro.
We were seated downstairs in a private room- I called three days ahead to reserve that space- and although it took a while to get 25 plates out the server was up front about that and how busy they were so no worries here.
The Fargo Bar and Grill is one of the best kept secrets in Central NY. If you are looking for a cozy place to dine on a rainy day or you are going to be visiting any of the finger lakes or Universities you have to stop in for lunch here. My husband and I first discovered this place while taking a drive around Cayuga Lake. The food is AMAZING, super fresh, delicious and always comes out fast (but not too fast so you don't think it's been sitting all day). Both times we've eaten here we've always sat right in front of the crackling fireplace. My husband gets their french onion soup and I always order a sandwich with their sweet potato fries. It is in a small little college town so the ambiance can be kind of rowdy with students coming in and out but it's a great place to grab some food in between wine tasting around the finger lakes!
