  ordinary Tex-Mex but in the middle of nowhere
  huge portions, inexpensive
  1 to 2 miles north from IH 10, exit 212
  6am to 10PM, 7 days
  friendly college educated waitress!
  the decor needs some work, old booths that should be reupholstered, it has new inexpensive chairs and tables for the most part
  it looks like it used to be a corner store, the floor was stripped concrete which I have seen done well, but not here
  
  why I recommend it: honest local food and it's not a chain
