Liver & onions was outstanding - brown gravy - excellent - just the right amount of fried onions cooked just right.  Green beans were just that - just green beans - in East Texas I would expect maybe a little onion or little pieces of bacon, but no.
Macaroni & cheese was just that - out of  a pot, not baked.
The roll with honey - very good.
A solid 4 - I will be back when in the area.

Sunday dinner at its best!  Chicken fried steak for my hub, and chicken fried chicken tenders for me. Both were large portions cooked and seasoned just right. Sides were good too-- pinto beans, cole slaw, green beans etc. And delicious yeast parkerhouse rolls to go with it!  Outstanding!  Friendly service. I could tell this was a local place to go with the family on Sunday. Traveling through TX to FL, this one is bookmarked for the next trip.

We were pleasantly surprised. The best way to describe the food is like eating at your buddy's grandma's house. Everything tastes made from scratch. The dinner rolls were amazing! Our group voted them the best roll we've ever had. Pretty darn good cornbread also. If you're looking for good homestyle comfort food, stop by when you are near Van, Tx.
