Fatz is a decent place for rich tasting food. Â I only went here because it was right next to the Hampton Inn while on a business trip. Â It was convenient. Â It reminded me of an overly expensive Chili's.
I ate at the bar and the service was slow. Â The bartender wasn't that busy, but he was slow to serve anyone. Â I had the shrimp dinner and it was good. Â The shrimp was tasty, but the rice was blah. Â I had a beer and glass of wine with dessert. Â I had the brownie sundae for dessert and it was very good, but a bit rich for my T-buds. The prices were quite higher than expected.
Sat at the bar at 6:43. I was the 10th person. I was greeted by a woman with a menu and a "Here you go." 2 minutes later. 6:48 she took my drink order. At 6:52 she took my order. While waiting for my food the people next to me gave a card to pay for their food. It was over 5 minutes before she returned with the card and not because there were problems. They still had their dirty plates in from of them. Â I received bread at 7:08. I got my food at 7:11. 7:13 she finally cleared dirty dishes next to me... 4 minutes after they left and over 10 minutes after they paid. The Aloha chicken and rice was a little dry. At 7:16 she greeted a new guy next to me with a "Hey how are you?" When she got his drink she introduced herself... Sonya. It was the first time I heard her name. She cleared my dishes soon after I finished, offered a dessert, and gave me my check promptly. In her defense it appeared that she had 3 tables too.
This happened in Feb 2011.
Traveling through Greeneville & wasn't expecting much when we pulled in, but was I wrong!
They do have plenty of the fried, unhealthy fare this area, apparently, requires BUT they had plenty of healthy choices, too. Fresh spinach salad with fish was great & I had baked sweet potato for dessert. Â ;)
And the service was amazing! Â So attentive & eager to please. Marissa went out of her way to make us happy.
Never heard of poppyseed biscuits, but they taste like donuts!? Â Tried to eat just one. Â ;)
