As a family of 4, I visited this location yesterday. Well after the "lunch rush," we were promptly seated, however the issues that we experienced started after being seated. Our waitress was nice enough, however after receiving our drinks, there was an unacceptably long wait before we ordered (the restaurant was not busy and this was after the "lunch rush"). While waiting to order we did see our waitress sitting at another booth talking to someone she obviously knew. After ordering and between receiving our food, we were checked on once by the waitress who wreaked of cigarette smoke (like she took a smoke break). The food came. The wife had the calabash chicken, which was great. So did the kids even though we ordered shrimp. I had a burger that, take away the bacon, was bland, dry and most likely a commercialized frozen patty. I assume this based on its perfectly round shape, lack of any juices in the meat and frozen uninspiring taste of the meat on its own. The prices are fair, however when it is so easy to make a good burger, it was disappointed to see this location fall flat on its face.
Review Source:Had dinner at the Lexington Location this evening. Â Nothing too spectacular with our visit tonight. Â I have had this happen before, but requested no tomatoes on my salad, and not only did they not include the tomatoes, but no crutons as well. Â Our waitress did bring some out for me when requested. Â Also had to ask for a refill on our rolls.
Food was good as usual. Â Restaurant was clean as usual.
This was my first visit to Fats in a while. I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was! Â I have never had a bad experience at Fats.
The service was great! Â Didn't have to ask for refills on our drinks. Waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was excellent.
I ordered the Seabreeze Spinach Salad and it was huge. I took half of it home because I couldn't eat it all.
My friend ordered the lunch sampler platter and she also took about half of hers home. Hers smelled delicious and she said it tasted delicious as well.
We did split the Banana Split straight up, and it was just the right size to share.
This is one place that the pictures on the menu are exactly what you get, and the food sometimes looks better than the pictures.
This is definitely a good value for the money and the service and food are both great. Â The waitress offered us to go drinks without having to ask.
Don't miss this place, you won't be disappointed!
While visiting family in the area due to being chased from the New Orleans area by Hurricane Gustav, we stopped here for lunch. Â This place is great! Â Best Chicken Strips I have ever had. . . . service was great. Â We never had to ask for refills on the drinks. Â Food was fresh and service was excellent. Â If you are looking for good food and good service, make a stop here.
