Good food slow service my son had BBQ wings and chicken tenders and I had the Asian chicken salad. It wasn't busy but our waitress was extremely slow, didn't bring out bread until we asked for it 20 minutes in... My salad was fresh and the chicken was well cooked. The dressing was VERY good. Will go back.

We had to wait a bit to be seated but on a Friday night that's not unusual. The servers and manager were fantastic! The food was eh. My sister got the lite Basa, it was pretty good and so was the rice it came with. I ordered the chicken (cala-something) with coleslaw. They were very tender but way too greasy and salty. The rolls and cheese fries were good. The service was definitely the highlight tonight.

We stopped here before going back to River St. for St. Patrick's Day. We saw the great reviews and wanted to check it out.  We were greated at the door with laughs. The host saw my bf's green cannibus beads and loved it.  The rolls were DELISH and I couldnt wait to order something on the menu. My bf got the Seafood Combo. I got the Shrimp and Grits [with mushroom gravy]. Gag.  I forgot I hated mushrooms, I was really excited to order here. The mushroom gravy was overwhelming, not to mention the presentation of the bowl it came in.  It looked like I got someone else's food - it looked picked over and messy! I was grossed out! How dare you send me a bowl of slop $%*#% do you know who I am??  I requested another bowl of grits - it LOOKED a whole lot better- the taste wasnt any different. My bf's fish was bland, bland, bland - it looked undercooked, not crispy at all.

The ROLLS were the best thing on the menu! Oh, the sweet tea was good too.

    Great Customer Service!

Never been to a Fatz because they don't have any in South Florida, what a shame:(  First off, I walk in thru the out door like I own the place and was greeted by the hostess. I wish I remembered her name because she was really nice. I tell her that this is my first time and she says, I'm going to send out our Calabash Chicken for you to try and some rolls. Hot damn! I do own this place...lol. So we all get seated and start reading over the menu. It reminds me of a Chilis, TGIF, and a Ruby Tuesdays rolled into one. One difference is the southern style dishes on the menu such as grits and  Shrimp PoBoys. We order some drinks and an app of cheese fries. The manager Dave, a really pleasant and professional guy, comes out with some comp sweet rolls and Calabash Chicken which is their take on chicken strips. Dave explains how the chicken is marinated in buttermilk for 24 hours which adds flavor and makes it tender. As a side note, is the same way that Bonefish Grill prepares their chicken too. Dave leaves and we dive in. The rolls are nice and warm with a sweet flavor. Now the chicken was F'ing delicious. Nice and juicy with great flavor. No joke these were better than any chicken strips I've ever had. They were even better than Zingers from Miller's Ale houses if you are familiar with that franchise.

So we order an assortment of food and I get the Fatz Club with mash potatoes. this is  your basic club sandwich. The sandwich and mash potatoes were ok but not fantastic. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. Once we finished, Dave walked over with a Peach Cobbler with vanilla ice cream for us to try. It was outstanding with its warm peaches, sweet cobbler, and a hint of cinnamon  over the ice cream. Yum!

Now if you follow my reviews I hate to go over board with my ratings on a first visit to a place. Fatz is an exception because of the OUTSTANDING customer service and attention to detail to their first time customers. The manager and the staff didn't know me or anyone in my family but their hospitality alone rates 5 stars. By the way, Copper River Grill in Columbia South Carolina, you and your staff should take a customer service and cooking class from Fatz. Great Job to all the staff at Fatz and thank you for your good food and awesome service. remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

I only eaten here once with my wife. That being said I ordered the Parmesan encrusted chicken pasta. Being a big pasta eater that I am it was my sure choice. Sadly, it wasn't to my liking or anyone's I imagine. The pasta actually taste like plain 'ol noodles. The chicken was over cooked, rubbermaid. However, they still get 3 stars because of what my wife ordered. The baby back ribs with shrimp. The ribs where very good, not excellent but very good. Nice flavor and almost complete fall of the bone texture. Would I go back? I don't know. Would we go back? Maybe.

We stopped here en route to Miami, and it was fine. Not good, fine. We were seated promptly, our waitress was friendly (albeit a bit slow and forgetful), and the food was OK. The atmosphere was much friendlier than a typical chain restaurant (or perhaps it was because we were in the South), and our kids stayed entertained with the crayons and candy machine :-)

I moved to Pooler in August and have never been disappointed with FATZ! The service has always been impeccable. The Calabash Chicken is my favorite *Its just chicken fingers* but whatever they marinate it in is fantastic. They are tender and juicy and amazing. I could eat them without any dipping sauce unlike somewhere like Applebees where they are dried out.. Their Ribs are always fall off the bone and tender. The BBQ sauce compliments it so nicely! Our drinks always wonderful! They truly do aim to please!! If you ever have a problem don't be afraid to alert your server because they will do anything they can to make you happy!!! I Love FATZ, one of my FAVORITE places to eat in Chatham county.

Being from Texas, I had never heard of this chain. The bread was really good, actually the best thing that I ate. The food was OK. Nothing that would draw me back should I pass by one again. The service was OK. Nothing bad, just nothing to compliment.

This was our first time eating at Fatz. I must say we were very impressed in all areas including service, food, cleanliness. They have a really good kids menu. I highly recommend.

Every time I go into Fatz I get top notch service and delicious food. The staff is so friendly and almost falling over themselves to make sure everything about your visit is perfect. They bring out free bread rolls and honey butter and the new choose your own lunch combos are wonderful!

I just can't say enough about the wonderful service.  I've been to this location several times and there is always a manager walking around from table to table to make sure everything is okay. During a really slow time I've even seen a waitress hold and entertain a crying baby so the mother could eat their food.

Everything I've had here has tasted great. I love the fried green tomatoes over cheese grits and the loaded potato soup. Also the chicken fingers are great here. You won't be disappointed!

Food was good.  Two of us split a dinner and we were both stuffed with the one meal. Prices are typical for this type of restaurant.  Wait staff was very good.

Always a good place to go to. Last time I was here, I got sick from raw chicken, but the manager was nice and said he would comp us. We went there again tonight for a big party and was great service. The soup wasn't good and the Manager (same guy) noticed my wife didn't eat it and asked what the problem was. He took it off our bill, no questions asked. Great service and food was great tonight.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was busy but not crowded. Got seated immediately, waitress was at the table quickly to take drink orders. Brought drinks out promptly. Ordered the crab cake dinner. Very delicious. Generous portion, with 3 crab cakes. The manager on duty stopped by the table 2 times to make sure all was okay. Nice friendly service, good food, nice place to stop.

YUMM-AY. from start to finish, this place was totally awesome. my family and i popped in here upon a recommendation from the staff at the hotel we were staying at, and we were extremely impressed. i had a cute specialty drink, the "tybee island tea" (a twist on the LI...get it?) and it was great. for dinner, i opted for the "famous fish sandwich",  two really tasty filets that were seasoned with lemon, thyme and basil (i think they called it "key west style").  our server was sweet, friendly, and attentive, and the manager sat down with us twice(!) to chit-chat about what brought us into town, my grad school plans...etc. etc. dude basically got our life story and i ended up with a sheet that listed all of the FATZ locations for easy restaurant stalking.

plus, we had free dessert coupons from our hotel, so each of us got a massive plate of deliciousness (my mom got a peach cobbler and my dad and i went for the peanut butter pie). loves it.

Whatever you do, DON'T have the blue cheese steak. I tried it a while ago and the blue cheese topping was HORRIFIC. My steak was literally covered with a semi-melted blanket of putrid green. A few bites made me nauseous, and I had to scrap it off into a side dish and hide it out of sight. Normally, I really love blue cheese, but this variation was too strong and the application too heavy-handed.

I've been to this Fatz a handful of times and have always been happy with my meal and have always received excellent service.

I ordered the Calabash chicken tonight which are the best chicken fingers I've ever had.  Super juicy and really tasty.  My friend ordered the Fish and got two filets fixed two different ways, one fried and the other called Key West which was a lime and something marinade.  She said both were excellent.  I have tried their soup a few times and have thought they are only mediocre.  The salads I've had have been great.  They also serve really yummy poppyseed rolls with honey cinnamon butter.  The peach cobbler tonight was really good.

The general manager stopped by our table twice to check on us and our waitress was great.  If you're in the Pooler area and looking for a casual sit down restaurant I think the quality of the food at  Fatz is way better than Cheddar's which normally seems to be busier.

Alright. So I never usually go to chain restaurants just because you can always expect everything to taste the same as to their compeitor. But I've never been to a Fatz Cafe and with 42 stores, it's hardly a conglamo.

My two friends and I went to have lunch at FATZ Cafe in Pooler, GA. Needless to say, the restaurant was full of employees that didn't want to be there and cared more about petty chat amongst themselves rather than the customer. Except for our server.

Our server was the only male server and somehow our all male table ended up with him. It was okay though becuase he did a pretty good job. Service from our server was prompt and all was well.

My friends ordered blackened pork chop and a sirloin stake. I ordered a sampler that had some fancy named chicken on it (chicken fingers), jumbo shrimp, and a 3 to 4 oz sirloin steak. I had everything before the steak and all was decent until I got to the sirloin.

I choked trying to eat the thing. My friends couldn't decide if I needed help or not lol. We were messing with our server about how we manged to get the male server so he sent over a female but I was dieing at the time. Funny but not really. The steak should have never been served. I'd rather be eating old shoe leather or a car tire. I wanted to kill my friends too so I sawed off a piece of steak for each of them and it took them nearly ten minutes just to eat it.

I told our server to take it back to the chef so he can taste it and he wouldn't after he looked at it despite the fact that he stated he ate three of them that day. That product should have been stoped before it hit the grill. Poor quality control and poor management.

They did take care of my meal though although I insisted that they didn't because I did eat most of my food. I hate feeling like a leech but I will complain about crappy food.

The pork chop and the other sirloin was good. But despite the fact, I will never go back. A product like that should have never been served. It was a bad cut and was unchewable. Give it a try if you want, but it is nothing special to make trip out there and there is a Longhorns right next door if you want chain food.
