Since we've tried virtually everything on the menu now, I feel overly qualified to speak to the quality of food here. It's far and away THE BEST Figaro's you'll ever go to. Why? Because MADELYN cooks!
Homemade soups and breads daily (not to mention the world's best apple crisp) and always something hearty to select.
Honestly, I don't know what we would've done without the ease, selection and wholesomeness of the options at Figaro's while we set up our business across the street. Yes... we have become their best customers! I'm sure of it.
We're certainly treated nicely... but that's the way it is in Coquille. Folks seem nicer in the "country"...
In Coquille food is limited....I think you'll see that I write that phrase in about every food review in Coquille. Â So when I see 1 and 2 stars for Figaros....I gotta compensate. Â COME ON PEOPLE....The subs here at Figaro's are FANTASTIC. Â Try a Garlic Chicken, Roast beef sub...on potato bread...my default sub here.
Yes....you fill out a piece of paper stating what it is you want on your sandy. Â There are different colored papers to fill out, each one is for a different item....color coded is what they call it ;)
You get to choose 2 or 3 different meats for your sub, all the veggie toppings you want (vast selection), 1 type of cheese, and all the condiments you can include.
With a little bit of creativity, you can create one hell of a sub. Â Yeah....the price is a little high....but a 6" will fill you up for hours. Â I have experienced the dry bread (choose the potato bread) but it was only once or twice in my 50+ times of eating here. Â In high school this is where my friends and I always came for a wrap or a sub.
Randy is a gal who kicks but at making the pizzas and the subs...She's what you can call a Vet.
So think about it.....Where else are you gonna get a sandwich in Coquille without the wait? Â The gas station fridge? Â Ohhh yeah....egg salad sandwich for $5 that's gonna expire in a day or two...Or get a sub at figaros for $6 and get your moneys worth. Â Think about it folks...
This place smelled so good I was compelled to go in. It was a little confusing because as you first go in you fill out a ticket located on a little table. Problem....there are too many tickets. We went during lunch and while trying to figure out how and which tickets to fill out we were constantly letting about a million people in front of us.
I had a turkey sub and was so excited because it looked great. Took a bite and almost died. It was so dry I had to have hubby get me more oil and vinegar, and even that didn't work. It had too much bread compared to the toppings, and the bread wasn't that fresh. So I had to take off the top of the bread and eat it as an open face sandwhich. I was kind of upset that I spent 9 dollars on this.
The staff was ok. The guy at the front was awesome, friendly, helpful, the whole 9 yards. The girl who brought out our food was anything but those things. She seemed angry at us for some reason. I think it might be because she gave my sandwich to a guy at another table and he left with it. (they take your name and then bring your food out to your table while screaming your name...someone else there had my hubbies name)
So next time I will just smell the delicious aroma outside.
