This small, unassuming diner seems to be a well-kept secret in the area. We probably wouldn't even have known it was there if we hadn't been looking for a place to turn around. Located a short distance away from the interstate and nestled a little ways off the road, it looks plain on the outside, but has kind of a "fire department" theme on the inside. They serve the staple American diner fare: burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and so forth.
I had the hamburger steak, and my wife had the chicken tips with peppers and onions. Both came with our choice of potato (fries, tots, etc) and a choice of vinegar or mayo slaw or a house salad. Wife chose fries and the vinegar slaw, I had the tots and the salad, just to be different. The food was all well prepared, good portions, tasted awesome. Â The only small disappointment that I had was that the salad was pretty plain compared to everything else; Â just lettuce, some cherry tomatoes, and carrots. Â Aside from that everything was fantastic. Â Stick to the slaw and you'll be golden. Â Reasonable price, about $20 for both entrees and drinks.
