Beware the waiter who offers a substitution for fries  without telling you that it's an upcharge. Pad the bill, decrease the tip.

Nice people, good atmosphere and great food. We went this weekend and the broiled whitefish, steak (NY strip and filet), and clam chowder were excellent. The restaurant and bar area were all very clean as well. The only upgrade that I would like to see is not using the dressing packets, they're never as good as home made!

The whitefish dinner was $13.99 and it was wealth worth it considering the amount of food you get! Caught locally, and was "swimming this morning" as stated by our server, it comes with salad, soup, biscuit, potato, and soft serve ice cream, you will not be disappointed! They also have a pretty good beer selection. Add cheese curds if you have room.

stayed with some friends in a cabin on the (aforementioned?) road that hits m-28 right at Foggy's, so going there was inevitable... but really, the place is fine.  i found it has a not-so-great reputation (as a dive bar) in the area, but it seems they may have remade themselves to be more family-friendly.  still, it's more of a bar than a restaurant, especially at night.  we enjoyed dinner one night, and drinks and pool another.  don't go with crazy high expectations about your dining experience, but it's as good as anything else in the Munising area.

Been here a few times, have yet to find that amazing burger there again that i had the first trip there.  Staff is exceptoionaly friendly always. Ive never tried myself as im a burger man, but ive heard nothing but rave reviews about the steaks.  Salad Bar is far from acceptable, especially at a 7.99 price tag even with ordering a burger and fries for my meal, i understand a burger isnt classified as a diner, which come with the salad bar....but 7.99?  The place has a large bar with dining in the bar area or in a seperate dining room. food is average....if they are not out of what you want....

    Gotta love Foggys!

Ok, so a little disclosure here: I've been coming here since I was a kid, and the bar happens to be located at the end of the dirt road I live on. So if thats not a recipe for success (and no DUI) I don't know what is!

The staff is always friendly and glad to see us. Drinks and a pool table late nite are always a good time. The food? It's not great. Pretty standard bar fare with a pretty darn good fish fry on fridays (but how can you screw that up?). You can even grill your own steak. Also, their pizza is surprisingly good.

Foggy's is awesome for what it is: A dank bar at the end of the road I live on....

This place is located in Christmas, Mi...  And not that great either...  Ran out of ice creme, ranch dressing, bourbon steak, baked potatoes, and the salad bar was the smallest ever - had lettace, green peppers and broccoli...  Soup was good -got the porterhouse steak which was thin and grissly...

Marquette County simply has NO good steak places so for those willing to make the drive, Foggy's is a pretty darned good restaurant. A note of caution is to avoid the place during peak snowmobile season as it's a madhouse.

I love the saturday night prime rib special, best prime rib around. The salad bar is to coin a kiddy phrase "LAME!" with iceberg lettuce, packet dressing, and minimialst toppings. The soups vary from ok to pretty darned good but none are homemade. Fish fry is great too, nice crispy fresh fish.

Waitstaff can vary from good to "just putting in my time until I find my baby daddy". A great waitress here is a rarity, maybe Foggy shouldn't spend so much time drinking at the bar and quit cheaping out on the staff wages???  Hence the 4 vs 5 star rating as nothing torques me off more than an owner who sits shiva rather than working the front of the house to see how their customers are treated.

Foggy's does a great job with its Friday night fish fry but the fish is available other nights as well. I prefer the perch but they also offer a choice of  Whitefish, Lake trout or a combination plate of all the available fish varieties. We have tried the fish in most restaurants in the area and Foggy's is reliably the best. Yes its true that the salad bar isn't overwhelming but it is adequate.  Also the price is very reasonable. It also has to be considered that there isn't a lot of "Fine" dining in the area so this makes Foggy's predictably good food hard to beat.

Not fancy, in the middle of nowhere sort of country place. They have a large bar and seating area for food and the place attracts a lot of snowmobilers like myself during the winters and tourists during the summer I am sure. Seems like the locals go there also. The feature of this place is their steaks. The have pretty much any steak on the menu at around $20 and they are all 16 ounce beauties. They seem to only select prime cuts which appear to be dry aged and are very thick. There is a large grill in the dining room where you can select your own steak from a near by cooler and grill it yourself or you can have them cook it for you. They have a salad bar which is not very exciting and an ice cream machine to make your own desserts. The guy who does the steak grilling knows exactly what he is doing. The steaks in this place pretty much rival anywhere I have been and I have been everwhere for steaks, no joke. I have paid almost three times as much in high end big city joints that were not as good as Foggy's. This place is a steak lovers dream. I'd highly suggest going.
